My website promotion for each website goes like this:

google och msn submit

social bookmark all pages
rewriting my ezine articles for the website

directory submissions

Just a suggestion - don't submit your site to Google, MSN etc. Let the SE's find you. In my experience I've found out that Google will take anywhere between 10-15 days to index if I submit my website to it. If I don't, it indexes me within 24 hours!

It is very true, better let the search engines pick up your site's links from other sites. I find social bookmarking sites can get my site indexed just under 24 hours.

Another strategy to consider: social bookmark your articles, lenses, hubpages, page releases, etc.

Doing that can increase the authority of the mentioned above.

    Thanks for the suggestions

Viral Video - Is that like making a youtube video with you website adress on it, is this method really effective?

Social Media - Ok, no idea what this means.

    Hey Challe77

Any interesting video that lots of people share with others can become viral. The idea is you create a video that is interesting, funny, shocking or pique interest in any other way so that people want to share that video with others. Your audience like your video so much that they kind of promote it for you. Here is an example, this thread was posted here. Its a funny video but you can guess that the guy is getting a lot of calls- http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-must-see.html

By social media, I think he was referring to social networking sites like myspace, facebook etc. where you can actually promote your product or services. You gotta know what you are doing though, spamming(many people do) can be ineffective and get you into trouble. You should not ignore the social bookmarking sites either.

You can get a bunch of traffic and backlinks to any page you desire by using isnare's article distribution services for 2 measly bucks.

    and...

    The podcast markets are underserved.

    Example:

One keyword may have hundreds of thousands of sites competing for it, but the podcast word may have less than 50 podcasts on the subject.

At least 5% of online users want audio and that a lot of people.

Podcasts don't have to be 30 minutes in length to be effective- 3 or four minutes will do.

Simply use your article content for the podcast content.

    Hope this helps!!
