        I couldn't agree more.

Time is the only currency you can spend but never earn more of. I outsource almost everything for my businesses, the only things I don't are things where I want the piece (content/interaction) to have my distinct voice for personal branding reasons.

When there are a lot of outsourcers who can do the job as well or better then I could and for so much lower then my hourly rate, why not outsource as much as possible?

Backlinks. I like to write my own content. It helps that I try and pick niches that I have a lot of interest in. I suppose if it was a topic I didn't enjoy writing about I may feel like outsourcing, but I haven't really had that issue yet. I just get so bored creating backlinks!

I outsource a lot in terms of quantity. Mostly content/articles, design and backlinks. I don't outsource actual web creation like WP installation.

Might start outsourcing some research ... and college work :O (joking)

      The same here!

I outsource: backlinks building like profiles creation, social bookmarking, directory submission, blog commenting, and also content creation, even if it's not easy to find quality writers!

I would pretty much agree with you on most of those man.

Most def article writing and link building.

However when it comes to niche sites, I like to write all my own content because I only do sites on stuff that I'm really interested in. Therefore its super fun for me to write about it.

Eventually as my business grows, I'll outsource more and more...

    EVERYTHING!!!

You should be working ON your business not IN it.

Outsource writing, link building, marketing, SEO, administrative tasks.

    Here's how I do it...

I outsource each little component of my business, then try to build automated methods of tying each method together. For anything that needs to be done manually I hire VA's to fill in the gaps until everything is 100% automated.

Sure, it costs more to automate something 100% and I do still handle customer support and website creation myself, but in the long run it frees up your time to scale your business rather than just plodding along doing the same thing.

I hope this inspires some of you to go out there and automate the processes you are currently wasting precious time in doing.

Use your head for smart marketing planning rather than remedial tasks

Outsource everything! Your goal should be to replace yourself entirely.

Hire outsourced project managers to manage your outsourcers... and then a project leader to manage the project managers.

Then go and sit on the beach while the money rolls in...

Backlinks, content creation, blog creation, honestly almost everything. I look at it like if you were running a brick and mortar business. You wouldn't see the ceo dealing with everything and micromanaging everything under the sun. Its just not possible, that's were i think a lot of people fail.
I save so much time on the task, and the learning curve it takes to learn some of these specific tasks. Plus the fact that you are hiring someone who does it better than you day in and day out.

    I would have to say:

    -Link Building

    -Article Writing

I am not a phenomenal writer, nor do I enjoy. As for link building it takes a long time....time that could be used to focus your efforts on your core business.

I outsource the link building that I don't do myself. At times, I outsource end-to-end SEO also. It depends upon my list of priorities and work at hand plus the committed plans for the upcoming period.

        Hey,

The short answer. like several people have mentioned is... everything.

At least as much as possible anyway.

You have to look at it this way, your time is better spent creating marketing campaigns, establishing joint venture/partnerships, testing new advertising mediums etc. All the stuff that actually MAKES money.

Everything else is menial and should be given to someone else to do.

Now, I understand that when you're starting out you'll probably have to do everything yourself. Which is actually good, that way you know how everything should be done and you can hold your outsourcers to a reasonable standard of quality. But as soon as you can afford it hire out the repetitive, menial stuff. Even if it means not paying yourself in favor of paying your help.

I know that mindset can be hard to swallow at times, but your business will never grow past the "you do it all" phase if you don't.

With that being said, if I were just starting out and could only realisticly pay someone else to do a couple of the daily tasks I would choose...

        1. SEO - The mind numbing bits like back links, directory submissions, social bookmarks etc.

        2. Content - Even if I'm an expert in the field I'll still have it done by someone else, simply because my time is worth MUCH more per hour than I'd pay to have it done. You still have to review the finished product before you put your name/reputation on it. But beyond telling the writer what I want and then checking it to make sure it's up to my standards, I prefer to concern myself with other things that directly result in income.

I'd be pretty hard pressed to decide which of those 2 is more important to outsource first though. After all great content does you no good if nobody sees it and a boatload of visitors won't help if they don't find valueable information when they come.

        Hope that helps.
        Tony.

    • Almost everything in my opinion, except: Initial business backend workflow process development planning, product development campaign planning, marketing campaign planning, employee hiring planning, employee training and management planning and results monitoring system development planning. Once that's done: I outsource everything to implement those plans. Of course, I for one believe the most important thing you can't outsource is spending your money. You can outsource to an outsourcing company which outsources your tasks to its employees and subcontractors, so in this arrangement:

You, a business owner, can outsource to an outsourcer, an outsourcing business owner, who can outsource your tasks to one of the outsourcing business' managers, who in turn can outsource your tasks to one of the manager's team leader employees, who in turn can outsource your tasks to one of the outsourcing business' employees handled by the team leader...

The employee should initially take full responsibility of completing the required output on time and in the required volume and quality. The team leader should take full responsibility of properly training and monitoring the employee in properly doing his or her tasks, as well as be fully accountable when ansering to the manager. The manager should take full responsibility and accountability when dealing with the executives of the outsourcing business owner. The executives of the outsourcing business owner should take full responsibility and accountability when dealing with customers/clients. The outsourcing business owner should be fully responsible and accountable when investing his or her time and money. The customer/client should be fully responsible and accountable when making investment decisions...

      Programming - Eastern Europeans
Article Writing - United States or Philippines
      Backlink Building - Philippines
      Administrative - Philippines/United States

      Some miscellaneous tasks to India/Pakistan.

    Hi,
I guess not only for me but most of the website owners are willing to pay for article writing. The reason is not limitations of research, but time is the main factor in it. To save your time from article outsourcing, you may improve your other workings to position yourself in good ranking like link building and exchanging of links.

I outsource some article creation for the niches/clients areas that I am less interested in. I do a lot of the graphic desgin etc myself, but if there's a site I really want to have that extra touch of class there's a local graphic designer I get to do up the images and logos for me.

I do the actual site build myself. I dont really mind doing these 2 things on my own- actually kind of enjoy it.

However, i really dislike writing articles and building links. I normally outsource these items and tailor them to my needs.
