Have website and product.. What do I do next?

I built my website earlier this year (© Social Serendip 2008-2011 | The Dating & Relationship Experts) and I've almost completed my 12-part product. I'll be ready to start selling it by the end of the month.

What do I do next? What's the next step?

Thanks in advance,

~Serendip

Make sure you do not neglect SEO... post more articles to your site and other blog networks and directories..
Get more exposure, get more backlinks for your keywords and rank higher...
Once you see traffic coming continue what you did to achieve that and keep doing it more...

Hire lots of people on Fiverr to post fliers around town and at colleges and what-not.

Lots of people there will even hand them out.

Just something that not enough people do, added onto SEO/PPC/etc. it makes a difference.

I would be working on the following:

      1. Get your product into the hands of 10-15 potential JV partners (people with lists, websites, discussion forums...etc ) as well as a half-dozen to a dozen beta customers that can try your product and give you feedback...You want to a) Get some early feedback on your product b) Build some testimonials and c) build an initial launch partner list that can help you hit the market when it is ready to go

      2. Work on your sales page...your sales page is everything when it comes to converting visitors into buyers, you need to get a draft of that finished and begin testing some early traffic - you can use an early or partial release to do interim testing so it is ready to go when the entire package is ready

      3. Work on your sales funnel. Your opt-in forms don't really capture attention or offer anything interesting...you want to have an opt-in process that captures leads so you can market to them through your follow-up sequences (otherwise known as a sales funnel)

@NWJewelry, Google "ezarticlelink", this service is great for building backlinks (can't post link just yet, not enough posts, lol)

The idea about post fliers around the town (as Kevin mentioned) is really good.

Besides SEO you can also post a lot of classified ads and do Social Media marketing (Facebook Fanpages-Groups,Twitter)

Find a list of longish tail keywords and write a blog post every day using one of those words in your title.

Try putting individual pictures of you and Cassandra on your about page. Take everything out of your bio that does not have to do with dating.

If you can, try changing your testimonials to only those that tell about the results you helped people get. If you want to leave the others, put them dow on the bottom. If you have one, put the testimonial on top that says something like

"In one hour Matt showed me three things I could do to change my approach to women and get more dates. I used those things the next weekend and they worked like a charm. There' s no stopping me now."

Those things might help your conversion when you go to approach JV partners.

Try changing your permalink structure to one that uses keywords. And use a plugin that gives you SEO value for your title structure like AllInOne SEO or Platinum SEO.

Cool. There's a guy here in Boston with good feedback who does that. I'll hit him up when I have the funds.

Ok, so I have to become a War Room member to get it into the hands of of potential JV partners, which means I need to pay the $37... I'll put that on my to do list.

          a) I have a couple of people who can give me feedback on it already, so I'll do that.
b)I will build testimonials as I already have some people who have done it.
          c) To do this I will need more information. How do I do this? JV partners?

Ok... I need to figure out how to do this.

So, have an opt-in form that offers people something in exchange for their email. Got it. I'll start thinking about what I can offer people. Any ideas?

          Thanks Jeff

Ok, I think I know what you mean. Note to self: Figure out what 'longish tail keywords' means. Then write articles with them in it. Post articles everyday.

I'm actually not working with Cassandra anymore, she fell off the map. I'll remove her bio. That's not her in the picture either, just me with the blonde.

Ok.. More testimonials based on actual results. Gotcha.

Your site looks pretty nice. A lot better than most dating sites just oozing with testosterone. The website stuff you can learn.

Long tail keywords are things that don't get searched for very often, but don't have a high level of competition either. The advantage to using them is that often the more specific a search phrase is, the more interested the searcher is in buying.

A longish tail keyword phrase would be something like

            dating coach for men

that phrase brings back about 2 million results

a long tail keyword phrase would be something like

            dating coach for men boston

            dating coach for men hartford

or the names of your events

            dating mastery hartford

make a little blog post about each one of them, tell a bit about each location and why its good and use some of the words that you use in your presentations.

AllInOne SEO is a wordpress plugin that helps put keyword phrases in various important places on your blog. Its advantage is that it makes doing so easy instead of you having to learn website code.

Changing your permalinks is pretty easy to do. What it will do for you is give your pages names like

            http:// www socialserendip dot com/DatingCoachHartford

            instead of

            http:// www socialserendip dot com/?page_id=73

and that makes your site look a lot more put together

Setup a series of squeeze pages to develop a marketing list. I dont care what the product or service is...this will bring in $$$$ for you in many ways.

    1. Most won't buy the first time to your website. This gives you the ability to bring them back to buy next time.

    2. It will also give you perhaps the most valuable asset in your business. And that is the email list.

    3. If you come out with part 2, a new upgrade, or a different product/service, you already have a market for it and an easy way to get the new product in front of them.

All of the things you are doing to promote your site? Make a change and do it for your squeeze pages including SEO And PPC.

More traffic to your squeeze pages equals a bigger marketing list. After Optin just send them to your sales page or website to hopefully close the sale.

Video works really great with dating. Especially the vids that show a pua in action.

Thanks. Obviously I'm going for something different than what's out there.

Thank you for the explanation. I understand this concept now.

Yes, video's are in the plan. I'm trying to sell my coaching obviously, so I'm thinking videos of me coaching a student would be good. However, would you suggest that or would you suggest videos of me showing off? Because honestly, I don't like the idea of showing off. To me, that's not what my coaching is about, it's about helping other people. Plus... it's what everyone else does.
