I have one goal, to increase traffic to my parent's insurance agency website. After learning about SENuke, I'm thinking that we can create tons of independent properties that bring traffic to our online quoting system. Our system is a 3rd party portal that submits the quote info to our internal application. We also have an agency website with product info, company info, and a blog.

I realize that insurance is super competitive. We only conduct business in one state, so my hope is that we can do well with geo-targeted search results.

SENuke looks very powerful. The more I research it the more difficult it appears. Furthermore, I was underwhelmed by the support on the SENuke forum. For $147 month, it would be nice if they provided enough training to get a beginner like me up to speed. That doesn't appear to be the case.

So, is SENuke overkill for my goal? With such a competitive niche, is IM even worth the effort?

Thanks!

I think it's overkill if you just use it blindly. You have to remember to build your links out in a slower more "natural" way. Basically trying to keep under the radar for as long as you can.

The investment of both learning time and money to use senuke properly probably only pays off if you have several sites to promote.
You may do as well just outsourcing the nuking to someone already up to speed with the tool. Though it can streamline article distribution most of the links it produces are kind of junky, you might just direct those links to your independent properties, again you can find services who already own networks of sites.

The ideal thing would be to get text links inside of articles on relevant sites with ranking, you could offer to write guest posts for sites, like a boating safety article for a boat enthuisists site that contains a link to the agency. Some find these negotiated placements more effective than article directory submissions.
