Using other free bonus products/ebooks PLR stuff and such is a common method although personally I feel it greatly detracts from the value of the product being offered and never liked seeing it myself. Clearly it must be effective though since almost everyone does it.

Well the bonuses that you offer would be based on the product that you are offering....personally I would find it hard to give you ideas if I had no idea what you were offering.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help

You could also offer an email course. I often see people offering 10 day email courses for opt-ins. Really it depends on what your main product is though. With more of an idea of what you are looking for we could help you out more.

If your product is great and helpful you don't need to include any bonus.

You could offer a bonus list of article directories to submit to. An email course could be helpful. You mentioned videos... you could also do an audio series.

Bonuses can be as varied as main products. Choosing bonuses that are relevant to the main product is the key. If your main product were an ebook about article marketing, then a package of PLR articles might be a good bonus as an example. A bad bonus for that same ebook would be a collection of chicken recipes. Seeking out JV (joint venture) partners that have complimentary not competing products would be one way to offer relevant bonuses. Check out the section seeking JV partners to see if there is something that you might be able to work with. Of course with a JV, you need to figure out a way for it to benefit everybody involved, a so called win-win-win situation.

With all of that said, from reading your initial post, perhaps you are looking for upsell opportunities to offer rather than bonuses. A classic example looks something like this
level 1 the main product in very basic form (ebook)
level 2 the main product in advanced form (ebook)
level 3 the main product in very basic form (audio)
level 4 the main product in advanced form (audio)
level 5 the main product in very basic form (video)
level 6 the main product in advanced form (video)
level 7 resell rights to all of the above
level 8 master resell rights to all of the above
level 9 private label rights to all of the above
level 10 master private label rights to all of the above
    level 11 webinar or teleseminar
    level 12 personal private mentoring

As you can see, there are many ways to go, and without more specific information, it is hard to give you the answer you're looking for. Good luck.

How big is your list? If you've got a small list, you'll really want to overdeliver to increase your conversion rate.

I would not recommend giving away stuff like 'Think and Grow Rich' ebooks like so many people online do. If you want to do exceptionally well in this game, you have got to stand out by giving away massive value.

Why not give away 25 high quality SEO articles to the first 3 people who purchase your course?

You could do a conference call where you reveal 13 killer strategies for dominating search engines with articles... And record this call.. it'll make for a nice bonus for future launches.

Interview another marketer. It could be some good content you can use as a bonus for your list. You can probably find another marketer here to interview for free, just let them know it would be a great way for them to gain exposure for their site.

Offer to set up someone's wordpress blog and give them a few articles to get started.

When you go out of your way like this to help your subscribers, people are going to be amazed at your leadership skills.

Bonuses are a game. You've got to sell them just as much as your product.

    Don't say, "here's 25 articles..."

Say, "The first 3 action takers will get 25 original, high quality SEO articles for generating massive backlinks, achieving industry credibility, and pushing your site to Google's highly sought after page #1"

Greatness is difficult to appreciate from close up. The great mountain on the horizon is only the ground when you are standing on it.

How funny that I chose article marketing as an example when I was typing my response, because I didn't know that was the topic. :-)
