I have found my 'thing'

I recently purchased a beautiful blog from Verena, with which I am still overwhelmed by the quality.

Anyway, she had some unique articles written for me which were loaded onto it, and I was looking around some article directories to get some more relevant content to build it up some more.

Some great articles are available, but I was feeling a bit reluctant to have other links in my content area, as I can see a risk of losing readers to the author's sites.

So, I thought ok, I have to bite the bullet and at least try to write some stuff on my own. I have had a lightbulb moment, and feel like I have finally found my calling, as I am finding it really easy to write about the topics relating to my niche.

I guess it is true what I have read many times over, start with your passion as your niche, and you will find it simple to write, with words just spilling over from your head onto the screen.

I have also had my articles accepted into EZA without any problem, which has been a challenge for me in the past.

Just wanted to share, and hopefully inspire someone to follow their passion.

cheers
Angela

    Congrats.

One of the main reasons so many people advocate doing what you love is because it's necessary to have a passion for it to get you through the down times of developing an online business.

It's much easier to quit something if you aren't in love with the idea of it. I think Napoleon Hill said it best...

"If the thing you wish to do is right, and you believe in it, go ahead and do it! Put your dream across, and never mind what "they" say if you meet with temporary defeat, for "they," perhaps, do not know that every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success."

Easier to write ... and you'll also know a lot more than even a very good writer (it that's not their "thing"). People want info mostly. If you give them that, they will forgive any lack of beautiful prose (not to say yours isn't).

    Hi Angela

You said it all: when it comes from the heart, it's unstoppable. Lucky you to find out your "love" - some people spent their entire life searching for it....

Congrats. While being passionate about a niche isn't necessary to make a profit in a niche, it does help when writing your own stuff. I can easily write volumes about things I'm passionate about.

Start with what you enjoy and know about! You have all of the time in the world to target money making niches you have no interest in when you are making enough money to outsource. Do what you love now so you can pay people to do the things you don't want to later!

Your newfound joy is positively popping off the page! Congrats. I am interested in so many things (I have a little bit of shiny object syndrome) that I haven't found the ONE thing that I am that passionate about. But I am really excited about 3-4 so that's good enough for now.

    Have a powerful day!

    Info -

Brad here - great post and congratulations. The success stories I see always say the most successful enjoy what they do to the point it is fun and not a job.

I am working hard to build my own skills. I love research and writing in areas of my key interest. Long term this business allows us to share key ideas and views and also build a business with our thoughts and work.

Have you found any key resource locations that you trust more than others. I have been reading a lot about virtual assistants an how they can cut research time down so the author can concentrate on the creative portion of the writing and market the results.

Right now I am an one-man-band but that will change shortly. Hope you continue to have great experiences and success - sounds like you are off to a great start.

    Cheers !

Depending on your situation, i.e. if you have a full time job or other difficult situations in life, it is critical that you love what you're doing. Otherwise, you'll never keep going - it's just too difficult at times in life.

    Thanks, Angela!

'Writing' is not my strong point, but 'talking'? I can talk for hours on end about things I'm passionate about. And when the topic drifts into something else, I'm curious enough to just shut up and listen to what others are passionate about! It makes fantastic relationships!

      Congratulations, Angela,

Its a powerful feeling when everything finally falls into place and you feel as if you have finally arrived at your "creative home".

One if he coolest things about working in your area of passion is the energy you save from not having to push yourself or force yourself to get your work done.

The lack of need to use will power and hyper focus to "make" yourself do the daily work it takes to run your business is like finding a secret energy reserve. You can run on the energy of passion, love and genuine interest ten times longer and with more joy than a competitor that has to force themselves to get in the game everyday.

And by the way, luckily for you, if I understand correctly that your niche is in the pet market, its huge with lots of passionate buyers that willingly spend when they find something they love. Continued and greater success to you.

      Keep Going!

      Hi Angela,

Great to hear you found your "niche" aka "thing". Now that you have found
that piece of the puzzle the rest will fall right or "write" into place.

It's rewarding to be able to write about what you are passionate about...or simply "do" what you're passionate about. At least, that's what I've heard....maybe one day I'll be able to speak from experience.

Congratulations! I had the same issue when I started out, I don't think I really wanted to do "that much work" even in a niche I liked, because I was spoiled by the pushbutton projects that I created that made "good money".

The problem with those, was they were not sustainable. They messed me up for a number of years, as I would buy other pushbutton riches, because I had done it, so I keep fooling myself into thinking that "they" had the next big thing that would make me money without "working".

So again, glad you found out, I hope others read your post and are inspired to give it a try with a passion they have, so they can find out too.

It's the best kept secret everyone teaches and no one wants to try...
