WP Sexybookmark Plugin Question?? =/

I am using a self-hosted wordpress site and the sexy bookmarks plugin. I have my blog posts set to only a summary and then they must click to 'continue reading'. Currently, the sexy bookmarks plugin is seen under each post summary on the home page, it would like them to only be visible when someone clicks on the post to read the entire thing.

Is this possible? Pls get ahold of me somehow or leave a message here and let me know, I would really appreciate it, thanks so much!!!

    I'm sure there's an option for it. But my advice to you is don't use that plug-in, it stinks***** - totally slows your website down. Use 'Share & Follow' plugin much better and far more flexible. If you want something pretty, try sketch bookmarks

    *****Edit: I take that back. It doesn't 'stink', as a bookmarking plugin, it's actually one of the most attractive I've seen! Very 'sexy' and very unique. It used to slow my sites down when I used it some months ago, but according to Shareholic (below), it's been updated and no longer slows anything down. So I encourage you all to go give it a try :p

      Have you tried SexyBookmarks lately? It should be fast now if you set it up correctly.

        Ahhh the creator of the plugin it seems. Apologies, the word 'stinks' is a tad extreme. The plugin is very beautiful, which is why I got it in the first place. I was just annoyed by how slowly my sites were loading. The bigger the site the slower it seemed to load.

        I'll bet you HAVE fixed it by now, but I'm happy with the ole 'share & follow' plugin for the moment. These bookmark plugins don't play much of a part in my marketing model (I don't think anyone uses them on my sites, lol), so I'm not going to bother testing it out.

        I'll see if I can edit my post above so I don't put others off from trying it out.

    Where is this option at? I can't seem to find that option haha, I will check out the other options you suggested though as well. Thanks!

    If you're talking about 'sexybookmarks' by shareaholic, go to 'Plugins', then select 'Settings' under the SexyBookmarks (by Shareaholic) plugin. On the settings page, scroll right down to the bottom.

    Under 'Posts, pages, or the whole shebang?' there is a drop-down menu. There, select 'posts only'. Selecting 'index only' will have it display on the homepage beneath each summary, whereas selecting 'posts & index' will have it display on home page and on posts. So as I say, select 'posts only', hit 'save changes' and hey presto.

      Thanks Snow-Predator, that worked like a charm!! It somehow got rid of the facbook 'like' option above the bookmarks even though I have it enabled. Oh well, I'm not too worried about it I suppose since I can just get a different plugin for that. Thanks again!!
