    Since there are differences in spelling and vocabulary between the 2, I would say that it matters, but not too much.

    I guess it would depend on your intended audience.

    While I agree that there are some minor differences in the spelling and vocabulary as stated, I think that using USA based English/Grammar will be the more successful format. Now if your intended audience is from the UK well then go with that format.

    I would say be true to yourself ... But it never hurts to test, try one article on a few directories one with US and another with UK.

    Course this depends upon what you write about also ..lol

      Hi Ian

      I write in english english because it comes so naturally to me. If I was to try and convert it my spellings would probably be wrong so I stay with the queen's english.

    Doesn't make a difference if most of your traffic is from search engines...unfortunately, short of one article directory that I know of, you don't know where your article traffic originates from.

    But if you are going to submit to a blog, authority site or ezine, write in the style of English that the blog, website or ezine is based on.

      I'd hazard a guess that the majority of internet users are more familiar with the US English, rather than the British English. As someone already pointed out, if you are promoting mostly in the UK, then it would make sense to use your local spelling. Look at some of the other UK sites and see what they're doing, ie: ANXIETY / PANIC ATTACKS Elimination - The Linden Method UK- I notice he does spell "generalisation" with an 's' (UK audience) rather than "generalization" US version. He does have an American site, too, that is very similar content where he spells "analyzing" which I believe is the American spelling.

      It all depends on the audience you are targeting.

        I agree with sylviad in that i try to remember the difference in spellings and terminology used in US English and UK English; that said the vast majority of my custom is US based so i'm actually thinking more like one of our American cousins as the 'sales' go by...well i guess i'm half way there already living in Ireland!
