Understandable, I haven't made any spamming scripts as of yet. I find it's often really uneffective anyways (unless done very well as I've been told).

I do not mean to come off as a bad person, I just would like some suggestions as where to go with this.

hey I'm not judging, we all have our own powers it's just a case of not using them for evil

If you're a good programmer, you could sell your services regularly to earn an income and work on your own projects in the background.

Personally I'd like a tool which tells me where my site is ranked for a specific keyword - I've yet to find a tool which does this accurately.

As far as the script you are looking for you mean something that'll Google your keyword and then scan the results for your website?

post the question "if there was a tool available to automate a task what would you need it to do?"...I know I needed a tool that would locate all google places terms that returned a 1, 3, or 7 pack. I had one but then google updated before i was able to use it. Is that what you do ?

I could do something like that, if you can do it manually on the web their is a good chance it can be automated by me (with some exceptions of course)

It really depends on how dynamic a webpage is, if they purposely try to throw off bots with randomized HTML etc then it's sometimes tough to automate. I haven't come across anything that I couldn't code around yet though.

Going by your description, I think that you know some amount of programming and software development. With this skill set if all you want is to develop bots, then you are not using your potential properly. Anyways for your information, you can find buyers for custom made web bots/scripts etc. in Scripts For Sale - Buy & Sell Your Scripts

Another website where you can find requirement for such bots is the programming section in Freelancer.com or RentACoder.com

hey for reals, you should ask here or in offline marketing, "what automated tool could be helpful for Google places, mobile and anything seo/rank related that isn't available?" Like I said im new myself but im sure the more experienced have a better insight as to what kind of a tool/bot, whatever, would be useful without crossing over the line

Find some info products that teach a simple, step-by-step method, automate it and sell it as a WSO.

That's basically what I do with the Wordpress plugins DigiResults sells.

I doubt it will come as a surprise to anyone that capturing leads from your blog is a good idea but setting up the optin forms, making it look good, adding them to various places on your blog etc all requires technical skill and is time consuming. So I made a plugin that takes the technical skill and time consumption away for a small price.

(Plugin name omitted to avoid accusations of self promotion)
