A Possible WSO Rule Break?

I'm a little concerned about a certain WSO that is running at the moment and would like some clarification from the mods about it please.

Now we know that WSO's have to be products that have been created by the person starting the thread or a partner of the person who created it. We know that you can't buy a product from someone else and then come here and sell it as your own. So what if you bought a website from someone else and you thought the content that is on there is good enough to make a profit from in a WSO, can this be done? Without changing any of the content at all? Leaving all the content as it was when you bought the website?

I think this calls for immediate action as I'm sure this WSO is breaking the rules if the content hasn't been changed.

Does this really need to be posted on the main board?

There are cases where someone has someone create a product for them or "ghostwrite" an ebook for them (which they would have exclusive rights to and be the owner of the product)
and then they sell it as a WSO and I believe that is within the rules.

But if it's a product being sold by someone else, and then a different person is
selling it here as their own, that would be against the rules and potentially against
    the law.

I would report the WSO in question or at least open a support ticket and give the
MODS the link to the WSO in question so that they can further investigate.

This is not a topic for open discussion...

    Best,
    Shane

      Mike,

Bad mojo. First, you should not comment in a WSO thread and then post in this section about the same thing. That's no different than naming names.

Secondly, if you're going to make an allegation like this, you should report it to the mods, along with specific info on why you think the content isn't original.

Just suggesting it was bought and re-sold isn't enough. You need to tell us what you have to support that belief. Otherwise, we've got nothing to go on.

Yeah sorry about that. It was a rash decision to post it in here as well as reporting it, but it has been said and confirmed by the WSO creators and the pre-existing members that the content on that site is 2 years old. I just downloaded Module 1 of the course and it has copyright from 2007 which actually makes it 4 years old.
