Creating A Mobile Website/Page - How's It Done?

I'm looking at a product currently, and it relates to mobile phones so my question is about how to create a website/page specifically for mobiles phones?.

As many of us will know, mobile phones and even ipads/tablets are going to be used to look at a lot of websites. The owners will leave sites that are not optimised for their phones. That's gonna mean people are going to lose out.

I'll rephrase the question a bit while I'm thinking about it. How can I create mobile webpages from my current sites? How can I make a basic html; wordpress; php page into a mobile one?

Would appreciate the feedback, as I think it will help a lot of people.

Thanks

Brian

There is a WSO that explains this thing perfectly. Just search in WSO section...

    Hi Brian

The best way to create a mobile website can be done in simple html with a css style sheet and use a shrink and fit system like all the big players such as Youtube and facebook.

Now they use a lot of extra stuff however you can achieve the same results using these simple methods listed above.

You can search the net and find all the different things your self or use our training system at http://businessmobilewebsite.com.

We also have a very active community in the offline warriors forum and in the site as well to get any questions we have not covered answered.

Many of the students are now earning a full time income from mobile sites so this should show the worth of the program.

Its a once only payment and nothing else to buy system.

Any questions just use the contact form or PM me.

      Quentin,

I think I just checked out your video on Youtube

When you say Offline Warriors Forum, is that one here on the actual WF or on your business mobile website?

I subscribed to a link from the Warriors War Room although it has changed from the original post I think?

      Thanks again

      Brian

If you're going to use Wordpress, take a look at the WPtouch plugin.

You may want to take a look at mobiSiteGalore - Build your own mobile website that looks great on all phones!
    Also, search for goMobi.

PS Oops! Guess I have inadvertently revealed a "top secret" resource behind some WSOs. :p

Well, the thing I don't like about mobilesitegalore is it is template based. If someone has branded a regular version website, they will want that branding to carry through to their mobile site. Their mobile version should look similar to their regular version, so you are still going to have to customize to achieve that.

The one question ... mobile wordpress sites are a piece of cake with a commercial plugin called wptouch pro. There's also a free version but this plugin kicks butt so well that I purchased the developer's license.

The static sites are built using an html editor. There's a script that needs to be installed that detects when a visitor accesses via mobile phone and redirects the visitor to the mobile site, which is usually placed on a subdomain, like m.domain.com.

Mobile sites use less graphics to make them easier to load, and images have to be sized correctly for them, but they are much like any other html site as far as coding goes. You can get a template and customize it easily to create them.

If you have a smartphone, go to mobilewebspot.com to see my Wordpress mobile site. It's pretty cool. That's also the main site for my mobile stuff but will redirect visitors to the Wordpress mobile version if they visit on a smartphone.

For the record I'm a fan of yours!

I check out your site in your post, so I'm not sure if this is correct. I took the picture from my phone.

Gotta Dash! Although it's Fathers' Day, I'm being called away
