Delivering monthly content online???

Hi all,

Firstly, I just want to say 'hi' and 'thank you'. I've been reading these forums for a few months and then lurking as a registered user for a month or so. Learnt quite a lot in a short time.

I have a question about delivering monthly content online. For example, I was looking at a monthly print newsletter and either cd or dvd package in my niche. To be honest the international postage and such would kill me and I figured delivering online would make it cheaper for me, and therefore could charge $5/month less than a physical product.

Does anyone have any suggestions how you could deliver such a program online? My initial thoughts were membership sites etc, but I don't want to give access to previous months that customers haven't paid for. I also want to offer the option to buy "back issues" and also one-off issues (eg someone doesn't want to subscribe but wants to buy a particular issue).

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
