TinyUrl and Affil links

If i put an affiliate link through, say, TinyUrl, will I still get commisions from it? Are they any problems with doing that?

Talking about Amazon Associate link in particular, if that makes any difference.

    Yes, you should do.

    I wouldn't touch shortened URLs - they reek of 'something to hide'.

    Ive noticed some Amazon sites using amzn.to as a URL shortner. Is there any advantages of using that over regular links? Does it decrease the CTR?
