The difference between real content and "real" content

Hi all,

Today I want to make things clear: 95% of the web is junk. And here is why:

People nowadays don't recognize the difference between:

1. Real content:
  • I can read it for hours and hours
  • It has a true value
  • It survives years and it is still interesting to read (it's not seasonal)
  • It is not copied
  • I bookmark it

...and...

2. "Real" content:
  • It is copied
  • I dump it after 2 minutes
  • It's a promotional product description
  • It's seasonal

I wanted to write this down because I'm annoyed by all these things.

Best Regards,
Akos

And 97% of all statistics are made up. lol

But I share your frustration with worthless content. Let's do our part to contribute worthy reading to the web, shall we?

You have a good point Akos and that is why google has been implementing all the recent algo changes to weed out the rubbish and give its visitors the search results which are really useful to them.

Hopefully these algos will get better and better until the only way to be sure of making money is to have a quality site full of great content which provides visitors with really useful info which they are looking for.

This will no doubt frustrate and upset all the 'get rich quick' gang and the SEO 'experts' who are looking for the latest trick to make a quick buck but for me it is a good thing and hopefully 99% of the garbage on the internet will disappear soon.
