Best way to buy domain from an individual willing to sell to me?

I contacted the owner of a domain name I want via email and they said they would sell me the domain. I offered $50 and they accepted. We are both clueless on how to transfer ownership and complete the money transaction. There are all these sites that let you sell domains, but most of them auction style. In this case we have the buyer and a set price. What is the quickest and most pain free way to make this happen? Please help, I don't want someone to just take my money and then they don't change it over to me.
Info that may be useful: there is nothing on the web; they just own the name. When I click on their site it says the REGISTRAR is FastDomainInc and the PROVIDER NAME & SERVER is HostMonster. What is the difference?
Told you I was clueless. Anybody have some help for me?

I'm not sure how much they charge but https://www.escrow.com/solutions/domain_name/index.asp seems to be the type of service you're looking for
