Resller Account With Hostgator

After re-reading this a couple times it seems as if you have a 1 out of 5 chance of getting a new IP every time you would create a new account w/ HostGator Reseller Hosting.

I just asked someone in billing with live chat and he said get a reseller account if you want different IP's for your sites. I guess he was mistaken.

I have unlimited hosting already with hostgator but need different c Classes to build my own linking.

How does everybody else do this.

Doesn't look like it costs that much... you can start off with 5 IPs for $35/month, or 10 for $67.50.

Yes you can get different additional dedicated IP for $2 / month. But its not guaranteed to have different C-class.

Generally people accomplish this by having multiple hosting accounts. You can have up to about 5 domains on a single IP before it starts to present a problem.

Most hosts will require a legitimate reason to issue additional IP's. If they didn't, everyone would want a dedicated IP for every domain they have. SEO purposes doesn't qualify as a legitimate need. However, if you are say, running an autoresponder service, or are installing an SSL certificate on a domain, those would be legitimate needs for additional IP addresses.

If different IPs and locations are your main concern it's usually more cost effective to buy a few cheap hosting accounts with different providers.
