Question about the blogs for sale on ebay.

Hello,
I see some blogs for sale on ebay, they go for like $50 bucks.

The guy drives PPC traffic to them a month to where they get about 30k clicks. The blog profitted $4k in adsense earnings throughout the month, I asked the guy how much he paid for the PPC he said it averages out to about $.10 per visitor. So that means he really made about $1k in the month for that website. What I don't understand is why he is selling these blogs for like $50 on ebay?? Should they be worth much more? AND heck, for 50 bucks and 3k in advertising anyone can be making about a grand with his sites.. is it worth it?

Here is an examples of a blog that is for sale and won't go over $100 for sure... : www. best dental review .com/ (TAKE OUT SPACES)

here is one of the auction pages (he gives a lot of details about the blog)

Is it possible that he's lying to you either about how much the clicks cost or the earnings? Many screenshots can be faked and Ebay has some of the most hyped up copy for websites I've ever seen.

    Plus Adsense arbitrage is risky.

  • I know the guy you are talking about. I dont really trust him. I have him as a favorite seller and follow his auctions closely. I think a lot of his numbers might be made up.

What I dont like are the private auctions. I have logged some of the domain names that have sold - and positive feedback left - only to see that domain relisted a few weeks later by the same seller.

There are a few of those blog sellers I am wary of. I think they have multiple accounts to where they can go ahead and make the first bid of $99.00 so it looks like the auction is getting bids.

    End of rant...

So you've seen a domain sold, feedback left.. THEN relisted by the same seller??

WOW that's crazy.. if you don't mind me PM'n the details I'll ask him about it! haha I don't care. I'm interested to see what he will say.

When I read the first post, I assumed that you probably misread the auction, and that the auction was listing POTENTIAL earnings, not actual earnings.

But I just looked over the auction listing, and it does appear that they are presenting ACTUAL earnings of over $4,500 for one month.

Now obviously you don't sell a site making $4,500+ per month for $23.15 with NO RESERVE.

The auction seller states that you don't even have to use their hosting, you can transfer it to whatever host you want, so he can't rely on that for a huge amount of income.

My guess is that the seller is an outright scam artist. There's nothing else that I can see, that would explain the auction listing as is. It's just absolutely crazy to sell a site making $4,500+ PER MONTH for less than $30!

He's monetarily "testing the waters" with the blogs. If they don't earn XX amount of money per month, he ditches them and sells them on eBay.

"Monetarily testing the water" - but the websites are making money.. so why wouldn't he sell them for more then 30 bucks?

    Josh,
I agree.. it just doesn't add up. I bet the author of those blogs is also a warrior.. maybe he should stop in and say something lol

Yep, this seller really bothers me.

Not only does he hurt those who purchase from him, but he also hurts others by taking away sales from LEGIT sellers who offer businesses for sale on eBay.

He does mention "following [his] marketing technique". Maybe money comes from that.

I'm curious now. Want to buy one just to see what's the real deal, ya know?

Nope, i checked the past history and the sell for like $50 on average, some sell for $3 lol..

is it even worth selling a site for $3 that has made you atleast $100? No.

He's selling sights that profit in the hundreds for less then a burger..

Has anyone gone to the actual sites and looked through the posts? There are a lot of links to different products, which is where he is making the bulk of his money. It would take a lot of work to go back through all the posts and change all the links to all the products to your own links. New marketers might not think to do that, which means he would continue to make money on the links throughout all the past posts.

If it is making that kind of money, it would be worth it to do what it would take to make it completely your own.

Does anyone know who owns the sites?

Dixie - perhaps you missed the part of his ebay auction ad where he indicated all the $4500+ per month came from ADSENSE?

Here's my analogy of this seller's pitch:

"Hi there ... I have a Golden Goose that I raised from a chick, and taught it how to lay golden eggs. It lays $4500 worth of golden eggs per month. Truth is, I've got a few of these geese, and this one just kind of bores me now. Im tired of picking up the eggs, feeding the goose and taking all that money down to the bank. I'll hook you up with my goose and the secret to make it keep laying golden eggs for $100 ...???" You game?

A better investment would be a site than earns the same amount using free traffic. I'd stay away from sites that get most/all of their traffic from paid sources.

    Hi,
He will start getting negative feedback eventually if his sites are crappy.
    Thanks,
