Aweber money-saving tip

Just received an interesting email from a marketer and thought i would share it with you guys.

For anyone that is using aweber to build their lists this is something i was not aware of.

Did you know once you pass the 500 subscriber
mark in Aweber they start to charge you more?

Lets say you have a 400 subscribers and 100 unsubscribers.

Well aweber counts that as 500 subscribers and will charge you more.

All you need to do is contact live support and ask them to delete your unsubscribe rs.

Thats all you have to do and you can do it over and over again.

The next price increase is at 2500 subscribers and you can do the same then too.

This is something i did not know and could definitely help save us guys some money.

You don't even need to contact support for that.

You can go into: Subscribers; Search - Unsubscribed; click Search; Erase - Select All; Save.

I do it all the time.

Yes, you may save a few bucks, but...

I always keep my unsubscribes until I have good statistics.

Then I go to "Reports" > "Follow Up Status - Unsubscribed".

That diagram shows me exactly where subscribers leave my follow-up sequence and what messages I need to re-work to improve my sales funnel.

Overall, I'm pretty sure that I make more money by improving my sales funnel than I lose money by paying for unsubscribes to gather this information...

They can only unsubscribe IF they happen to subscribe in the first place

Hey, that's another neat money saving strategy - don't have them sign up ....

Everyone gets unlimited emails... They are talking about subscribers, not the amount or number of emails. Even in the old system Aweber charged you more once you hit a certain threshold of subscribers it's just Aweber adjusted the numbers.

The biggest reason why you need to be paying for a professional autoresponder service is in the delivery rates. The free ones out there suckat delivery... not to mention some of those free services spam the hell out of your lists or have ads attached to every email you send to your own list.

I beg to differ Mike. The alternative ARs offer services for those who may not be as wealthy as yourself.

One free one, ListWire has excellent rates of delivery. It's owned by an Internet Marketer, and he is very clear that the delivery rates are as good as Aweber. ListWire does not 'spam the hell out of your lists'. It never even contacts your list in any way. (You do get a lot of stuff yourself, but you simply unsubscribe - problem solved).

The only ad sent on every email you send to your lists, is a logo at the bottom With A Link To Your Own Affiliate Reference.

It's not obtrusive, and gives you the opportunity to get more affiliate income through Gary's products.

        I don't have a problem with that either - AND IT'S FREE - FOREVER!

        Cheers

        Alan

Hi I don´t know where to post this message but since it´s related to Aweber i thought i´ll do it here and hope you will spread the word.
The subscribe links in Awebers autoresponder messages don´t work for AOL users

At the end of the links it shows ">AOL (it's an HTML snippet of the "A HREF" - tag and if you click on that link you can´t get access to the website. You have to delete the last five characters.

Maybe someone can submit a ticket to aweber...i think it´s a general problem there because i subscribed to many different WSO's and it´s always the same

          Thanks for reading

          .

Never heard of that service... Thanks for the heads up! If it's what you say then that might be a good alternative for people just getting started, until they start making money and can pay for a professional autoresponder with more features.

Have you tried to get in contact with support and let them know about it also are you talking about the "confirm your subscription" link so they confirm themselves as a member of your list or are you talking about links in general?

There is another category within aweber to be aware of which is called undeliverables. I had some sitting in one account for over 5 years and I called them to delete them. For one list I was paying an additional 9.99 a month as it brought the total over 10,000 so it is good to keep your eye on that too.

I Wont advise you to ever delete your unsubscribe list all together because as per Can-SPAM law, you must lawys keep a copy of your unsubscribe list for the record with you. Say some body sues you for sending spam after they unsubscribe from your list then you can provide proof of their unsubscribe data and ip/time of unsubscribe. This keeps you safe legally. Also, always make sure your ESP provides you with IP and timestamp of unsubscribe data , and never delete that information too.

Thanks for the tip! Will definitely know to remove unsubscribers from my account when I get closer to the next pay increasing level! (but not before I do some reporting and get some great analytics and stats from those unsubscribers and WHY they unsubscribed and at what point in the funnel they decided to go!)
