1 MILL FOR THAT?

Looks like it was done with paint.

Far enough the back end programming might of been heavy but no way near 1 MILL.

"PCC was using the image of the Minneapolis skyline as a placeholder while it searches for a copyright-free image of Madison's skyline."

Couldn't they just drive over with some of that million and take their own photo?

Or they could have gone to iStockphoto and spent $3.00 on one of the several Madison, WI skyline photos they have there.

I wish I could have been the one to outsource that project. I would have made $999,950 after I got someone from Digital Point to make the website.

LOL. Well even if the programming needed was extensive...it just looks like it's a searchable database. So even if you spent $50,000 on that, you still have $950,000.

It's comical to see how much the govt. wastes, until you realize it's your own money.

When I was in the military, we had these 10k digital cards that had a 20 cent part on them newbies would break fairly often.

The part was simple to replace, and there was an electronics marketplace (several square miles of electronics vendors) about 45 minutes away.

However, the policy was: send in the card, for a new 10k card, do not repair.

Yeah, I'm still upset about that... but I did look over the inventory list and did NOT see any $500 hammers (your stomach would curl if I told you the parts I DID see and how much they cost)

Perhaps the lesson to learn from this is:

To really grow your business get govt contracts?

Maybe they should hire Allen Says and Allen outsource the job to the Warrior's forum.

I'm sure we will do a better job than them.

If you think that's bad, imagine a statue erected to a 1950's football star...wearing Nike cleats.
