I've run across several courses, but I don't know how useful they would be. A lot of courses (that I've actually looked into) seem to focus on very dated material. If you really want to learn maybe try to find someone here with experience willing to mentor you.

I don't have a certificate, but if I had to pass a test I'm very positive I would pass. I've been reading about this industry for nearly 6 years and actively making money for almost 3. Yep thats right, I pretty much read everything I could get my hands on for 4 years before taking any action.

I've seen that Full Sail is offering a "degree" for internet marketing, search engine optimization and marketing, plus social marketing. I'm happy I saved my $60,000 and learned on my own for free.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Why bother going into debt at school for something you can learn about for free on this forum? :]

Exactly. The $37 War Room fee is a far cry from 4 year tuition.

An undergraduate marketing degree at any accredited university includes this as part of their curriculum, and perhaps would be of much greater value in many ways.

Why do you need this degree? There are university degrees out there for parts of what we as IM marketers need but to be honest if you are looking for being an IM Marketer working for yourself the Warrior Forum can give you hints on where to find specific training. Again what’s your goal with this education? If you are looking for being hired by a company you probably need some sort a formal degree to build a CV, that could be a university degree combined with your own online courses/studies etc. You also got some tips from others here at the forum. Marketing is very good to study, works online as well as off-line.

You can take this fancy degree and put it on top of your sales letter in place of a headline...

Buy my stuff... I've got an IM DEGREE

Yes I've seen information on that. There are plenty of traditional marketing programs so it makes sense that there are specialized programs related to Internet marketing. It should be a pretty good in demand field right now. I know that social media marketing is pretty popular and skilled practitioners can find work.

So do a Google search on the topic and see what results come up. Good luck!

You will get more/better information on this forum than you would on a degree. The degree will most likely teach you outdated methods that may or may not work today.

This forum has everything you need my friend.

the prob i see with a formal education in IM is that the real money is earned on cutting edge techniques or techniques that are constantly being ever-refined. the classic model of education is to teach what is well-established, time-tested and proven (as much as it can be). that generally lends itself to concepts and ideas are not on the immediate cutting edge. that type of education worked very well prior to the internet, but now with anyone able to learn whatever they chose at any given moment, you're either up to the minute or you're falling way behind. that's how i see it.

You don't need a degree, a high school diploma, or even a GED! Many of those pulling down 6- 7- 8-figure incomes will be the first to tell you they don't have the best schooling and weren't the model students!

All the education you really need is right here and it's completely free! And when you're ready for it, I strongly recommend joining the WarRoom.

Nothing happens, though, until you take action!

Here in Denmark there's a marketing education focusing marketing with the Internet as the media for marketing. It is not an IM degree per se, as it is combined with general understanding of business economy and a foreign language. But it definately is interesting, and I would be surprised if we were the only place in the world where such an education exist.
