What Kind Of Social Media Do You Use Besides Twitter & Facebook?

Hi Warriors,

I'm wondering what kind of social media you guys use besides facebook and twitter for your online business, or if interesting, for personal use?

And if so, how do you use it?

I think a lot of marketers are only focussing on Twitter & Facebook and missing opportunities in social media such as Stumple Upon, Delicious, Reddit etc. (I'm still quite a newbie when it comes to these media, and would love to learn about it!)

Please share your experience with social media beyond the more popular ones like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.

    Honestly, I don't use any others outside the big 3 you mentioned, except for Tobri and that's just to build more of connection base for the other 3. I've tried others, but for me there wasn't a lot of networking going on within them. You're best bet is to stick with the big 3, use youtube, vimeo and fiverr as funnels for them to attract more leads and more contacts. Twitter is the easiest to build a following on, but it's a lot more work with the frequent tweets (I really don't like it) .. FB is also pretty easy to build a following on as well, but there's a lot of tag spam and app spam on there, especially once you've built a good following. And LinkedIn it's alright, but nothing too exciting, at the end of the day, it's really going to be about which one you find is your "home base" for social media all around. And mine is definitely facebook.

    I've had some success with YouTube and have built up a bit of a tribe with folks who've subscribed to my channel. I have one site where around 60% of the traffic comes from YouTube + I'm building some extra revenue with revenue sharing.

      Thanks, I forgot to mention YouTube. Which I think is really interesting if you have "addicted" viewers that subscribe to your channel. I'm kinda of an addicted viewer as well from channels such as youtube.com/freddiew which makes awesome videos. But I don't think that's related to any business though.

      Interesting, would you like to share your channel? I like the word "tribe", that's definitely good for driving sales ;-).

      One of the latest changes google has made to its algorithm is the amount a page is shared on the social media sites, so the more you get your content out there the better your chances. Here is a video explaining a little bit more on how to accomplish this, you might want to check out tribepro too, you can get others to share your content easily there too, I love it
      Aah ok. I think Google's trying to adapt the importance social media in their algorithms. 43 sites? Wow, how do you remember all accounts haha? Which are the 43 sites btw?

    Does anyone have anything else to add other than the Big 3 (Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube)? I'm taking a break from SEO and I'm gonna focus on social media.

    I've had the most success on StumbleUpon. It takes work finding followers who accept shares to their toolbar and vote them up everyday, and you have to do the same, or you won't get the benefit. A lot of people don't get how the site works. If you don't vote up shares from the red numbers on your toolbar everyday, those of your followers that do will quickly unfollow. It gets better the more of these valuable followers you get. look for the username rowanman28 and add me if you are willing to spend a few seconds a day voting up all my shares, and I'll return the favor.

    I use TribePro, which combines all the TOP 41 social networks with Onlywire integration in order to get my content syndicated more than 700 times and hit the front of Google!

    And I use Youtube and Warrior forum.
