Help setting up a facebook fan page for marketing

I need some help with regards to using facebook. I started using facebook a few years ago and of course face book was not then what it is now.

My question is how I separate my personal facebook from my business face book. Or is it even possible? I know people use facebook for business only, I think I would try that if I knew how. Facebooks rule about only one account is giving me trouble.

What happens when I set up my "group" for my business handmixers the way in which facebook directed, it was all working fine, but then all my feeds started going to my personal site. Good but not good! Since I use my facebook personal account to keep in touch with my close family and friends, they will quickly get very annoyed with all my business things going there.

Any suggestions about how to set facebook up for a simple business feed would be welcome. I have read and reread and can't seem to come up with a solution. I am thinking I may have to deactivate my facebook and do something different.

When you set up your business page don't Like it yourself and your wall posts won't go to your profile feed. Additionally you can segregate your profile friends from your business friends by using lists. When you make a post to your profile, designate if for it's intended list and anyone who's not in that list won't see it.
