#1 Content in My Niche - Where's the Traffic?

I run a site focusing on green education (ex. workshops, online courses, degrees in sustainability, ecology, sustainable business, green IT, green building) that has the most comprehensive content on the web and am looking for ways to bring more visitors to my site - any ideas?

Sure...both SEO and paid advertising will bring more traffic to your site. With SEO being something you can mostly do for free...start there. There are a lot of threads about SEO here, but I'd recommend joining the War Room and look for some of the SEO solutions and advice that are available there. There are many and they are great.

Yes! There are always the paid advertisements you could resort to, but organic SEO is huge for any website!

Social networking, using anchor text, backlinking, submitting your posts to article sites, video marketing, it all links back to your website! I have an article on this under "Your Website" in my signature below, but I'm sure that you can find help anywhere online with this! Everyone wants more traffic, and ultimately it takes some work, but it pays off huge! I believe you when you say that you have great content, but it doesn't matter if no one sees it, so good luck with your SEO construction!

Looks like your doing OK Pages (226), Inlinks (263)

Bear in mind the value of each new links from earthscan & kickitover may diminish as the total numbers go up. Of course backlinks to a variety of pages, from pages on the same subject are powerful, as well as keyword anchor text.

You certainly want to get submitted to every directory of directories, maybe even pay for some submissions. Though the Yahoo-MS merger muddies the future you might consider popping for the $299 review, you almost non profit looking.

Once you have solid conversion rate stats you would know how much PPC you could pay per visit and still profit, I'm guessing costs are too high for a directory.

"green education" is one term with huge search volume and low competition.

I thought I saw GOD for a moment, but it was GDD.

Wow - great insight. Thank you so much for taking the time to help and take a look. Feels good to get this feedback and I will take the advice to get listed in more directories. LOL on the "GOD" comment :-)
