What is the best way to track traffic to sites

I use the wordpress stats plugin on all my sites, but I have a lot of sites, and it's time consuming to log into them all the time, to see the traffic each site is getting. Is there a way to see all the sites at once with this plugin? I have looked for it, but don't see a way, and trying to contact wordpress seems to be out of the question. Maybe I missed it, but I don't see any contact info for them that works.

If this is not possible, is there an alternative that works well, where all sites can be viewed from one place. I tried using the "official stats counter plugin for wordpress" but gave up on it. I installed the code they give you like 5 times exactly as instructed, and it never worked, so I gave up.

I won't use analytics because I think google uses the data against you.

Would like to hear what others use.

Thanks Glenn

Viral URL!!! That tool is awesome, you can see all the hits your sites are getting. Also you can e-mail up to 4,000 people every 3 days with the e-mailer that they have and its very responsive as well

I only trust my server logs.

Webalizer and Awstats are fairly decent, but depending on your hosting set up, you might still have to log into each cpanel account.

But no stats package is 100% accurate.

Statcounter provides a central panel that displays multiple projects, I use it with about 20 sites. They have a WP plugin that takes care of the trigger code.

Not as sophisticated as Google Analytics but does provide a surprising amount of visitor stats. Freebie version rolls over site logs at 500 visits but maintains total counts.

Yea, I've been using statcounter for years. They make it easy to access the stats from multiple websites on one website.

I don't know if you've ever considered clicky but they're absolutely awesome. I track my sites with them and I've been pleased. If doesn't come free though (first site is free)...but worth it in my opinion.

Use google analytics, a lot of these stuff (awstats) etc are inflated by bots and spiders

Google analytics all the way. But if you don't trust google, check out piwik. It's a standalone version you can install on your server.

Your best bet as someone mentioned is to use googles analytics. Then if you can download the google analytics plugin for firefox. You can have this plugin cycle through your sites. To show you the stats for each site individually every so often. I think the main setting on it is 5 minutes but you can change that to what ever you would like.

The name of the plugin is Google Analytics Watcher
