A Communal & Free Internet Marketing Challenge/competition

Hi everyone!

We were all at the stage at some point where we really wanted to start internet marketing but didn't have the funds, knowledge or motivation to get going as anything we did would result in a small dent in our bank accounts.

How would you guys feel about an Internet Marketing 'Resource' (for lack of a better word) whereby you can get started in IM:
  • For free - free hosting (real hosting as if it were paid)
  • Including guides and instructions on how to IM
  • Targets to meet
  • Competitions - A 'Most successful' site of the week/month etc with prizes
  • A Community to compete/discuss with eachther

I know this would have helped me a tonne when I was first starting out and I genuinely think it is a great idea.

What sort of demand would there be for such a site/resource?

  • or just a 'That sounds like a great idea!'

      There are some pretty well established programs which do this. Not sure what the benefit would be to reinvent the wheel unless you had completely new and unique content/strategies to introduce.

    Thanks for the replies!

    Not trying to reinvent the wheel in any way. This would provide all the things necessary to start IM from a brick and mortar Internet marketing & hosting company.

    It would include free hosting, possibly domains and email marketing, and more. The premice would be to get people off the ground with IM at no cost, with people to compete against.
