I'm thinking of trying this but the problem is i dont know enough information on the intended niche.

I know almost everything else can be outsourced but can ebook research and creation be outsourced and if so is it really expensive?

Might be better off on finding some PLR and seeing if you can rewrite/rebadge.

Everything can be outsourced, the question is whether you can make my money from it...

PLR = Private Label Rights -content you can buy or sometimes get for free that you have the right to use. But, as was suggested, if you use this, you should edit it so it's original.

I do agree with Allen on the PLR route if you don't know much about the niche. How about setting a goal to learn as much as you can about your niche, then put what you learned into your ebook?

Thanks for the help guys. Just wondering would a ebook need to be huge in size and packed with endless information?

Absolutely not. Some people consider that an ebook should be the digital equivalent of a real book and hence have hundreds of pages. But the truth is your ebook can only be a few dozen pages long, as long as the content is relevant and it delivers the promise from the title. Hope it helps!

Absolutely not. It should be as long as it needs to be, and no longer. It needs to fulfill the promise made on the sales page. The customer is paying for the information, NOT the number of pages.

Length will be dependent on the subject matter.

      Hope this helps.

How about splitting it up in sub niches? Have one lead to another? Keep 'em coming back for more

Outsourcing content is fine, there are even some ways to do it that will not cost as high and the result can be much better.

For instance, if you post a project or approach a ghostwriter for a complete ebook project, the tab can be quite expensive - into the 1000's

If you instead, break your project down into a series of articles or reports and outsource them that way, it can be much less.

All of that said, I HIGHLY recommend that you maintain control of your market research, decide on the unique angle your ebook must take to compete in the market, and outline your ebook by chapter (and even by specific questions that your market need answered).

Then you can go ahead and outsource...it works much better this way.

You need enough (at least basic at the beginning) information, if you're willing to go forward through this niche.

I would only outsource the creation of the ebook but not the information research. If you're entering a niche you need to be knowledgeable about it.

You can research the niche until you do have enough information or hire someone else to research and write it for you.

The length depends on how much information you want to cover. As already suggested, you can always break the information into sub-niches and sell several books or give people a price break if they buy the whole set.

You can outsource the part that you are not good at or don't enjoy. For example if you are passionate about your subject and love to research, but don't enjoy writing find a writer; or vice-versa.

Don't get hung up on a magic number for pages - I agree, long enough to say what needs to be said - no more, no less. And, you can always publish revisions later.

You may find some tips that I'm rolling out over the next couple of months on my site helpful for the eBook project - YourResearchDiva dot com

Plus, I'm doing a niche research survey (which I encourage you to take). Those who participate will get all the raw data from the reseach I do for free...I have a video on the site which explains it (no catch!)...go to the "Niche Research" page.

    See you there!

outsourcing good writers can a little tougher than you think. my thoughts are that you should pick something you're somewhat interested in...interested enough to be able to write part of it and edit all of it. i've hired several writers from scriptlance, elance and guru, and for the most part have found that only a very few deliver high quality work. i almost always end up basically rewriting much (if not most) of it during proofreading.

when you research how to create and market plr products, much of what you'll read, particularly by the gurus, will explain to you a seemingly simple process of doing market research, identifying your target market, rebranding your product, marketing it, etc. it's very doable, just not that easy as many might have you believe.

      just a heads up...

    Really simple:

    1. Never mention "Ebook" to outsourced workers, reason being they will charge you an arm and a leg, and foot.

    2. Hire an article writer, tell them to do a bit of research and write 10 articles on: "Enter your ebook pages titles"

You will get 10 (or how ever many pages your ebook will be) pages, all researched and written for you. Do a bit of editing and your all set.

Thanks for the post, its relevant to what I want to try and do! And basically all I know about Ebook marketing is that I could sell it on ClickBank and then link it to my relevant site!
