Do Domain Forwarding Still Work on Affiliate Marketing? How Effective is it?

I want to write some unqiue articles for article directoires then
forward my affiliate link to the .info domain name.

i want to know if this method is still working on affiliate marketing
business and how effective it will be? because i dont want my effort
to result to nothing.

    I always use either a forwarded domain, or a redirect for my affiliate links. This saves me from potential problems changing links, products, affiliate networks, etc.
