Struggling to make a plan

Hi guys

I want to ask an important question

How do I create myself a good IM plan?

Ok, so I bought a good program that I learn SEO from, in depth.

But where do I go further?

Lets say I have a site with some traffic going to it. What do I do with it?

Could you give me some insight on it?

I keep catching myself on the idea that I'm not qualified enough to make a good plan/strategy, and what if it fails, etc, (all these damn negative thoughts, I guess I'm very unsure if I succeed at all)

What would be the best strategy ?

I know already that I should stick to 1 technique at a time, so now I learn SEO and focus only on it.

I also thought that getting a mentor would be a good idea so I was considering working a lot as a freelancer (I'm a freelance translator), so I can pay a good mentor, but then again I lose time and I learn no skills meanwhile.

So I'm really confused...

The good thing is, I have lots of time, opportunities and a burning desire to succeed, the problem is choice, and more and more disperation with every new failiure.

So what I wanted is a safe plan/strategy that would make me succeed online. Once I have it, I will no longer struggle and doubt my actions as of an incompitent specialist....

I will gladly hear your suggestions based on your success...

    For me, I had to write down what my goals were, financially, how much time I had to devote, what my resources were, and try and plan it out - in my case, I've done weekly and monthly "plans of action".

    You said you learnt seo, fine. Outline your link building strategy one by one and follow them step by step.

    For example lets say you have article marketing, forums, social bookmarking sites.

    Personally, i have a spreed sheet where i list over 50 article directories and username on it.

    The same with forum and social bookmarking site thou the forums are much smaller in number.

    Once you have your seo and link building strategy in the spread sheet you would need to implement it one by one till the last on your sheet. Once you are done with achieving a high ranking for your keywords you can move to other areas of interest.

    For sites generating tons of traffic, there are two ways i prefer to monetize it, with affiliate product and adsense. Thou this largely depend on the kind of traffic. You can also look into listing building.
