How To Get Your Fiverr Gig Higher Up On Site

Hey guys. I was just looking at Fiverr and started promoting some gigs on there. I very quickly realized that my gigs were buried among a ton of others. My question is how do you get your fiverr gigs more exposure? Is there a WSO in how to do this?

I've been searching for the past few days on the same topic. Haven't come up with much. For the past few days, I've noticed a message on my fiverr dashboard that due to maintenance, video uploads are not available. Have you seen that as well?

I contacted Fiverr customer support yesterday about the video upload issue and they told me it was an issue with youtube and they had no timeframe when it would be resolved, i hope this helps

    Okay a little more detail.

I ran a fiverr gig for a little over a week. In that time I had 27 orders for my gig.

When I posted my gig I provided a link to where people could see samples of my work. This way they knew going in the level of quality they were going to get.

I posted a video of myself explaining my gig. Nothing special, just me talking into the camera letting people put a face with the gig.

When people bought my gig, I worked hard to over deliver and maintain communication with all of my buyers. This resulted in positive feedback which resulted in a higher ranking and even more buyers.

Fiverr is just like any other business. If you put your face out there and deliver quality work you will get repeat business. If you try to do as little as possible then you will get little, if anything, in return.

in which area your gig is. because have 27 orders within a week is seems to me a lot and you just did in within a week. and i am thinking that getting order now a days in fiverr is impossible and you make 27 orders. thanks for motivation.

I was writing 500 word articles. I was doing it to get feedback and testimonials. I was writing 4-5 articles per day and was having to keep toggling my gig off and on to prevent getting overloaded.

I could easily make a couple a hundred a week off of fiverr if I wanted to work myself to death.

Making a video may help your gig get more exposure. Having your own website for a portfolio also helps establish credibility. By far the best way to get more buyers is to get good ratings.

get feedback! people regularly search using the sort by 'popularity' 'rating' etc...maybe you have a list or can get one, sell to them $10+ worth of what you are offering for $5, ask them to buy through Fiverr. If its a good offer you'll have yourself a decent amount of feedback in no time and then you'll naturally rank high.

There might be one, in my signature...I think. I don't really remember, but yea it could be in my sig.

But the general idea is that you need to get that positive feedback right off the bat. You need to drive initial traffic to your gig, and get feedback. Even have a friend sign up to Fiverr, and leave feedback just so that your gig can take off right away, otherwise it will just sit there like a raisin. Also, catchy titles, add videos. Tweet your gig, post your gig on your website, get creative.

Ok, after reading this post yesterday this is what I did.

I posted a video gig on fiverr (to create a social media connect video), and it ended up on page 19 of the video section. Who knows what page on the all gigs section. I looked for it and after page 59 I stopped looking.

See here I was on page 19.

Then, I posted the link of my page to facebook around midnight last night. Woke up this morning and I was on the first page number 6. So within a day (less than that) I was on the first page. Still no sales with this gig though. I think the video in the gig would help, but for some reason videos cannot be uploaded to fiverr right now due to maintenance. I posted a video on youtube and posted the link in the gig. Here's the second pic. Sorry the are so big.

Yes, I think linking to your Fiverr from external sources is key. I plan to use Twitter, Facebook and my own website to draw traffic to my gig.

As others have said, treat it like a business.

Or better yet - jump into the buyer's shoes. Then look at the gigs on Fiverr. Which would you buy? Why?

Likely, you're looking for a lot of positive feedback, good reputation, OR maybe you're willing to take a risk because the deal they offered is too good to pass up for $5.

Now go back and apply that lesson to make a gig that's attractive to buyers.

If you can drive enough traffic from outside sources (social networking, guest blog posting, etc.) and get enough positive reviews, you may land yourself a Featured label which shoots your gig straight to the top and gives you more credibility. Work on traffic from outside of fiverr.

Since every gig video we submit is uploaded to "TheFiverr" YouTube channel, I wonder if Fiverr has reached a limit. They must have uploaded tens of thousands of vids by now. Possibly YouTube wants them to start paying for domination.

    Tip #1:

When you have a new gig, you get a "spike" of traffic to it and then it can die down if you don't have lots of orders or good feedback... Therefore, after your gig drops down and gets lost in the mix you can post it again, as a NEW gig and get another spike of traffic. Rinse and repeat.

It worked very well for me and of course if you get a gig with lots of good feedback you'll want to keep that one around and make most of your sales from that one.

    Tip #2:

Also try posting your gig on other fiverr sites, there are many and even if you only get 1 sale from each one, they add up. If you sell one on Fiverr and another on a similar micro job site, then you've just doubled your income for that gig!

    Best,
    Shane

Wow i really needed this as i too have been baffled on how to get my gigs up there on fiverr.

The thing is that i am very scared to make a video on myself (self-conscious i know). I have a website i could perhaps link it to.

Do you think linking it to my oDesk profile would work?

Just put up an e-Book Cover gig on Fiverr a few days ago, so I want to follow this topic and hear what you all think about improving rankings in Fiverr's search.

    e-Book Cover Gig

Totally new to selling on Fiverr, but hopefully it works out well.

*EDIT*: Just thought of this, is it against Fiverr's TOS to have people buy your gig, leave you a review, and then you send them the money back? It would be like a "review" copy.

Feel free to do that with my gig, I would gladly send the first 10 people their $5 back if they left a positive review.

Immediately after seeing your gig I thought to myself, "you know he's missing something in the gig title". Then I just did a quick analysis of your category and this is what I found:

No one uses the word SELL in their titles Except for ONE gig - He's a TOP-RATED GIG with over 237 positve reviews!

It seems to me that everybody else in your gig category is SO PROUD of their designs that you're not MARKETING correctly! The buyer is not interested in your BEAUTIFUL DESIGN...they wrote the ebook to SELL it! So Just like this top ebook cover seller - you need to give ebook cover buyers what THEY WANT - SALES! Edit Your Gig to Ebook Covers Designed to SELL!

Second most busiest gigs in your ebook cover category mention "Professional" in their gig title (even though their covers look like SH*T) - and they got orders..go figure!

And the last thing - one of your competitors with crappy covers is selling covers like mad right at this instant - his key? 24 hour turnaround! It seems that a whole lot of ebook cover buyers NEED that cover IMMEDIATELY! So I would change the gig to IMMEDIATE Professional Ebook Covers That SELL SELL SELL!

As a customer on fiverr I always filter my search results by either popularity or feedback score.

It certainly is advised to put emphzis on getting s much feedback as you possibly can. Mybe ask those who hired you to leave feedback after your gig was done.

when it comes to driving traffic to anything you have a number of options, for this i would stick to one of the following.

    a. organic traffic from google - find a keyword using a niche finding tool and then rank a website using that keyword. once people are coming to your site for a term you can convert your fiverr gig for you can begin doing so.

    b. create videos and rank a video organicly, send backlinks using seo keywords that will convert for your fiverr gig.

    c. adwords - you can try to buy some cheap traffic and funnel it to your offer, at 5$ per gig this would be the hardest method to do.

Yes, If you do an appropriate search on Fiverr you can find quality gigsd that promote your gig like the one referred to by fluffy.

There is a pdf newsletter gig that features your gig in a monthly newsletter and is distributed and promoted throughout the web for free. There's one gig for new baby gigs and then there's one for top rated gigs on fiverr. I think both of these are offered by "domignostics" - search for that term on fiverr.

You should never need to do this. If you haven't gotten a few orders by now, it simply means that you need to re-write your gig title or re-think
your fiverr strategy. Graphics are always needed by people on fiverr so I'm amazed that you haven't got bit yet. I'll look at your gig and give you a pointer or two in a few or I'll PM you on fiverr.
