Best way to use Facebook ???

Hi All,

Just wondering the best way to use facebook to promote my websites.

METHOD 1

Have a single membership for myself and then create fan pages for all my individual web projects which are attached to that account.

METHOD 2

Create individual accounts for all my different web projects.

Kepping track and managing the Facebook pages would be easier using the METHOD 1 but was concerned it may not be good practice.

Any difference between the two methods and any advantages or disadvantages.

Thanks in advance

Peter

You can manage multiple independent fan pages from a single account. Seems like that would be simpler to manage than the paranoia inducing proxy games it might take to keep multiple accounts alive.

Have two accounts one for pages, one for your personal account

Don't log with the same IP for both accounts.

If your personal account will be banned your pages will be without an administrator

See some horror stories how easy FB bans people for no reason ( http://FacebookDisabled.org )

Can't write direct link due to my 9 posts so far

I use it to keep in touch with all my family and friends.
We share photos and events plus keep up with the latest news.

You can even do instant messaging

I would go with method one. Just keep everything clean and you'll have no problems. We don't.

You should try to make as many friends as possible at every opportunity. The discussion came alive when an interesting topic was brought in.

What i do is, from one account i handle all the fanpages for all my clients.
I suggest making the owner an admin though sometimes this is not feasable since they have no idea about IM stuff.
Most small business people just know how to open an email box and read their emails!Administer a fanpage seems like a Herculian task.
I offer support so they email me when they want to make changes

Have a single membership for yourself and then create fan pages for all your individual web projects which are attached to that account. This is the safest way to do.

You can not play around in FB with multiple accounts, they have the way to detect it and ban you. stick to your method 1

It all depends on your niche/niches

If you create fan pages for all your individual web projects it will take you a lot of time. If they are all in the same niche I would make it one big one, this will save you a lot of time which you can focus on other things, such as marketing your projects.
