Promoting Web Site Hosting On Celeb Site

I was wondering if promoting web site hosting on a celebrity site is a good idea? To see my Hostgator banner placement check out my site A To Dlist (Dot) Com

I tried to pick a colorful animated banner that will catch peoples attention

I've tried a bunch of other affiliate programs on my site nothing has converted do you think this one will?

This traffic is tough I get around 500-3500 unique visitors a day depending on the day. 90 percent of my traffic comes from google. I would say the traffic is good since the majority of the people stay on my site for more than 2 mins

I'll say this...test it out! I don't want to say no (since it doesn't seem to relate to your audience) but you never know! I guess it can't hurt to try if other stuff hasn't converted better for you. There's nothing that relates to celebrities? How about Amazon affiliate stuff? You really want the ads to relate in order to convert.

Nooo No no no. I cannot see that converting in anyway. People looking for pictures and videos about celebrities don't really have a reason for web hosting. I would highly recommend trying some CPA offer rather than affiliate things. It will convert much better with this kind of traffic.

    Waste of time and space.

Think about your audience, now think about what they want. I don't think web hosting is high on that list.

    It's like... common sense.

Have you thought about putting up ads for stuff related to your content? I.e. one of the posts on your homepage is about Selena Gomez, why not put up something related to her for that blog post?

A simple search on amazon reveals over 1500 products you could promote specific to her.

You could even build some kind of program that looks at the tags for any given post and pulls related products from Amazon to display in the banner. Wouldn't take a huge amount of time to code, and I bet it would work quite well.
