Is there a script like TINYURL for my own LLLL site

When the 4 letter "LLLL" sites were running out, I bought one.
Is there a script like that used by tinyurl.com to quickly/automatically convert long URLs to short ones and keep it all on my own site.

I like the idea of being in control of what happens to my URLs and "tiny links".

Free is my first choice, but any script that does the job is of interest.

    This is the only one I know of. It's not free but it is inexpensive and seems to work.

    I think it is a modified version of a free script.

    lilurl is a free open source script. I suggest you go with them.

    It's very minimalistic and you can edit it very easily if you have some coding or html knowledge.

      I went looking for instructions for lilURL and came across another URL shrinking script that has good instructions, TIGHTURL
      TightURL Project Page

      TightURL also has added security features that look good. I think I will go with this one for now.

      On Edit: I forgot to say, tighturl is also open source = FREE
