Google's Black Menu? Anyone Else See This?

LOL! WTF... WIERD????

Well, im in firefox

but you know what... I JUST installed a new plugin and then when I restarted firefox, I noticed this...

the plugin was ScreenGrabber - firefox extension for taking screenshots... maybe that is the culprit?

Mine is black too...

LOL!! I Was just thinking that... going man is Google "BlueFartting" me or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if they had the ability to detect BlueFartters and their methods and then "mark" them with a black tool bar! LOL

Welp.. glad to see its not just me.. but sad to see this is their attempt at making it more social.. by making it black???

I think they made it black so we would notice it... Otherwise, it could have been there for years and no one would have known to look at it.

mentioned this over in the SEO section days ago!

Google is testing design changes out now. when you do a search the left side navigation will be all black and red instead of it's original multicolored one.

POST UPDATE ABOUT THE BLACK BAR:

This is google starting to roll out +YOU their new social network. Right now their network is in beta but once it goes live to everyone I'm sure we will all be seeing the back bar with the new +YOU button.

I have the black bar also. I was logged into a gmail account at the time. I logged out thinking that might be triggering it. Nope. I still have the black bar after logging out.

It seems that Google is making their search engine look more like a website as time goes on. Very similar to the way Yahoo started. It's like they are trying to make it a one stop shop for all of your needs

Google are always doing little tests like this - they just test it on a small subset of people.

I imagine this new addition is to push more users to it's additional services (Maps, News, Shopping etc..). They're probably monitoring ever click on that bar. In fact, change probably to definitely!

Google isn't just about search anymore ya'know!

The black theme is slicker and fits in with my browser theme perfect, they changed the YouTube played to black also, but now it seems to have changed back to silver. It seems like the Google design team can't make up their minds
