I am so frustrated, How do i do this?

Good morning,
I wanted to take just a moment and express my appreciation to the members of this forum. In the short time I have been a member here I have learned so much. This forum is unlike any other I have ever seen. The members here are very knowledgeable and I truly admire the openness and honesty.

Over the last year or so I have been trying to establish my self as a service provider. This is because I have seen the huge demand for article writers, link builders and VA services. I have had some success but the market place is highly competitive. I feel that I am very good writer but I constantly have to compete with writers that are charging next to nothing for their services.

I began writing on fiverr and have had success with this but I'm running it to the same issues with fiverr as well. More and more people are posting gigs that offer 3 to 4 articles. I cant compete with this. I know most of the stuff you get from these people are just spun plr or articles that are stolen from directories , spun and passed off as their own. I refuse to resort to these tactics. I feel I have a great service I can offer but I am having a very hard time standing out from all of the garbage out there.

I am not looking for any hand outs. I am just hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Where can I go or what can I do to obtain clients that are not wanting garbage for services? Not just article writing but link building and VA services? I am not looking for clients that are lining up to pay extreme premiums, just wanting to find a way to offer my services to people that appreciate quality at a fair price.

Like I said before I am not asking for handouts just some advice. Is there a way to find and obtain clients without a middle man there? Fiverr is a prime example, when a customer pays five dollars they get an article from me I make four and fiverr makes a dollar (not to mention the fee they charge to withdraw). I would much rather pass the dollar savings on to my customer.

With out going into a lot of detail in the last week I have had several family tragedies. Times are tough and I really want to immerse myself into my business and work to keep my mind busy. I would love to hear from you with any suggestions or ideas that will point me in the right direction. Is there a way or a method to quickly find clients that are in need of my services without compromising the quality of the product and service I provide? I have in the past given away reviews and samples but I end up holding the bag and never hear from them again.
At this point I am just frustrated because I know I can do this. I just need a little guidance.
At any rate thank you for listening, and I appreciate any input you can offer

Wow. First off, as a writer....use paragraphs!!! Reading that made me want to slit my throat.

But you are selling articles on a site for essentially $4. You are getting people that are bargain hunting. And just like ebay, there are always people willing to undercut and make $1 per article.

If you are that good, offer to write some articles for free here on the WF for certain people. If they are happy, ASK for a testimonial (don't make it mandatory).

Build up some great testimonials and save up some cash and run a WSO. Do more articles, save up the $$ and start a website. Then you have experience, testimonials, and a site where you can sell from without being reliant on a WSO or any other site than your own...use those to supplement, not be your entire income.

Think bigger in-other-words. Value what you do and others will too.

This is of course just one idea of maybe 100

This is why you should post it into the Warriors For Hire. However, it costs $20 to post or bump your thread (put it at the top of the list).

Simple: quit $5/500 words article customers and deal with people paying at least 2¢/word. Cheap customers are pain in the ass, try to establish relationship with the customers you like and keep working for them.

For where you can find them, make your own website and use forums to advertise your service. Don't make easy things harder than they are.

Go to the Warrior For Hire section & pay $20 to post an ad. Prepare samples if you have any because you'll be asked for them. You may not get many takers since you're new around here, but you should certainly get your investment back at least.

Be careful dishing out lots of samples...easy way for people to get free articles with no intent on ordering more or even leaving a review in return

Thank you. Do you have to be a War Room member to post there as you do in the WSO section. I plan on joining the War Room But at the moment money is a little tight

    Stop bidding on fiverr!

You are already saying "I am Cheap" by bidding for work on that site. It may get you business, but its always harder to negotiate up a rate than discount a premium one

Like Keith said. Run a WSO. Let the first 3,5,7, or so customers get a pack of 5 articles for free. Ask them if they mind giving a review.

One offer I saw yesterday was different in the way it was presented. Something like $27 to purchase with normal rights $17 if you give an honest feedback review.

Another option is to post offering PLR packs. List 20 subjects and ask people to vote for the one they would like at $5 per pack of 10 articles. Then release limited copies of the packs, say 25 only. That would make you $125 per 10 articles if you sold all 25 packs.

Build some rep and also post in the Warrior for hire section on this forum. You could also join some freelancer and ghost writer sites once you have a small portfolio established.

Another place to look is on Craigslist gigs in all Cities. You can often pick up blog writing work at a reasonable pay if you are prepared to sift.

    All the best.

    One final thought!

There are HUNDREDS of Graphic Designers, Video Makers and even Voice Over Artists on this forum. Why not approach some and work together to create a package.

    Example:

You write 50 pages on a topic. The designer makes the mini site and all graphics, you put together the copy (or find someone on here who can) then get a video made and sell the product as a WSO to begin with to build a list. Then split the proceeds and start on your next idea.

In fact, if you want to go with this idea, drop me a note, my husband does designs, and I am sure he would work with you if your content writing is good. Then all you need is a copy writer for the sales pages and maybe someone to do video.

    To your success.

Hi, first off congrats for taking the initative and being out here. To add and build on the other comments think about the 5 P's. Product, Price, Position, Promotion, and Profit.

There is a lot of competition for your product. So you want to position yourself as a high quality high value provider that is more creative and gets more results than the competition. Your Internet stuff, Facebook, Twitter, and your wordpress site must showcase and demonstrate your high value proposition. It need not be elaborate since your specialty is the written word. You could go with a very simple wordpress theme.

The short answer is differentiate yourself, have a simple killer web presence, and advertise and market in the places wher eyour high end clientle hangs out. Consider doing some off line stuff as well to build your body of work and testimonials.

      Thanks, -Rich

What I have seen in the short time on WF is that there are a ton of ways that you can earn really good money HERE.

If you can do all you say then it should be a breeze....

People here want the social proof so do 5 reviews of whatever you are offering and then sell at a higher price than $5, people are willing to pay for quality.

I agree with a comment above that Warriors for hire or classified ads are the places to go and offer your services.

Good luck, stay strong and be positive you will make it!!

Lizel is right on with the advice she's giving. I came across your post today while I was searching for writers on the Warrior Forum who charge $20-$30 per article. I'm not contacting anyone who charges less.

Price yourself into the market you want to play in. Then be able to deliver.

I also agree with Lizel's two ideas for leveraging your writing - PLR, or packages with websites.

      Best of luck.

If you've been trying for a year, with only 9 posts, it seems evident that you haven't been trying on the WF. You could do a listing in Warriors for Hire for $20 to list and $20 to bump it when it goes off the front page.

You could participate more in the forum, build a reputation and have your services in your sig file.

    rite,

    I would do three things:

    1. As others have mentioned, put up an ad in the Warriors for Hire section and put up samples

    2. The heavy sales and promotion times are coming up (back to school, Halloween, holidays, Christmas.) Do a little research from the past couple of years in the WSO section and see what kind of article packs sold well, the type, not the specific topic. Then do a little research on the same type of product/topics, and create a PLR article pack. Create a WSO and offer a limited number of sales.

    3. Start a list. With every single sale and contact you make, either have an opt in form or ask them personally if you can add them to your list. If you don't already have an account and are watching your pennies, sign up for an account at Mailchimp which is free for the first 500 contacts. They don't like affiliate marketing, but if you are just mailing for your services, you should be fine.

Focus on the top three things first.

Next, when you get those things down, create a site for your services and your article packs. You will need $10 for a domain and $5 or so a month for hosting. Just do a 5 minute Wordpress install, use the default theme, put up your own header if you want, and just get the information up.

Worry about tweaking and making it pretty later. But don't let stop with steps 1-3 and don't get bogging down in details.

Keep writing and keep building your list.

Hey, I am also very new to the warrioforum and also have started a running a service here just recently. Yes it is very difficult to start out especially if you don't have any testimonials and not many people know you and trust you here.

The best thing to do and that goes for myself as well is try to participate and build some relationships here. Put your service on "Warriors for Hire" Thread and start building some reviews for your particular service. Just like with everything it takes time. But in the end, I strongly believe , If you provide a quality service with exceptional customer service you will always have customers and success in this industry.

    Hope it helps
