What's the deal with this place?

Hi,

On a couple of occasions I've came in here and posted threads asking if anyone wants to guest on my 100% non profit podcast.

It seems that somebody (perhaps with a little too much time on their hands) has been deleting my posts.

So, could somebody please confirm what the score is with this place? Have I violated any rules? Personally speaking, I don't think I've done anything whatsoever to damage the interests of this forum or anyone within this forum. I've been non commercial and totally above board.

      You might see better success if you posted enough to be able to send and receive pm's.

      Then you could ask folks if that is something they would like to do, and have them PM their responses.

      With a little bit of forum longevity, you might even be able to post a live link in your post.

    My guess is that a Moderator's decided you have ... possibly because your post came across as advertising/promotional in some way, or maybe just because it was posted in the wrong part of the forum.

    So many posts have to be deleted every day that it would be quite impossible for the Moderators to notify people individually.

    If you'll excuse the observation, referring to them as "having too much time on their hands" may not quite be an approach calculated to ensure a favourable/attentive reply. At least it wouldn't be if I were moderating the forum ...

    It's self promotion and it is not allowed.     Instead of jumping right into a forum and immediately drawing attention to your podcast, you might want to just join in on the conversations.
