Free Resources You Can Use To Create Digital Information Products

If you have at least an intermediate level of knowledge or expertise in a particular subject, you can create your own information product. This can be an ebook, an audio recording, a video demonstration, or a live teleseminar or webinar.

Digital information products are very easy to produce because you can usually create them with hardware or software that you already have or can get for free.

For example, if you want to write an ebook, you can use your MS Word program to draft it and convert it to PDF format using a free online resource such as PDF Online, or Free PDF Convert, or Primo PDF.

All these free services work basically the same. You draft your ebook using your word processor, upload it to one of the above sites, and they email you the converted document. The only drawback is the PDF files don't recognize links.

You want the links in your ebook to be clickable, so that you get free traffic to any websites and affiliate products mentioned in your ebooks. Therefore, I recommend you download and install a free PDF creator called DoPDF.

If you wanted to create an audio product, you can download Audacity, a free audio recording program, record your info product, and save it as a .wav or .mp3 file. These are the file types that determine where the file can be executed.

For example, wav allows people to listen to a recording on a regular cd player while mp3 files can be listened to only on devices that play mp3 files such as a pc, mp3 player, or IPOD.

Unless you will be shipping out your recording on a physical cd, mp3 is the best format to save audio in because it is the most versatile and downloadable friendly. Audacity requires a free add-on called LAME to save it as an mp3 file.

If you want to create a free video instruction product, you can use free screen recording software called CamStudio to record a screen presentation with your voice narrating in the background.

This program is best used when demonstrating how to use a software program. If you are familiar with using any type of software, you can use CamStudio to record video tutorials and sell the finished product.

Video tutorials for major software programs such as Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint, Quickbooks all sell like hotcakes. Or if you have a software product, you can record a demonstration to include with the software.

As you can see, when it comes to creating digital information products, your options are abundant. Pick the one that appeals to you most, and start the process of creating your very own digital information product.

While digital products do make money right now, physical products will always be in demand and easier to sell

And if you can't afford Word, you can use the word processor in OpenOffice. It's a full-featured word processor that creates PDFs directly. It can also read most Word files, though not always perfectly.
