Aweber gurus - whitelisting the 'From' address?

Hi all,

I have read conflicting sources on the right way to go about this...gurus please help!

1. Firstly, I would like to add a link to a Vcard on my 'Thank you' page after the subscriber has signed up. They click the link and add our email address to their address book. Am I right in saying that this is just about the best way to have your subscribers whitelist your address with minimal effort upon signing up?

2. Which 'From' address do I use? when you use Aweber to send newsletters, usually it is from "mymailinglist@aweber.com" on behalf of "actualsender@mydomain.com".

Which of the 2 addresses are used for spam filters to determine whether to let email through or not? If you are answer please make 100% sure that you are correct as I am about to get over 20 000 subscribers whitelisted, I would hate to whitelist the wrong email address :S

Also, if the one i need to whitelist is mymailinglist@aweber.com, then what happens if I ever want to change ESP's? surely there should be a way for us to rather whitelist our actualsender@mydomain.com. In the long run we may want to change from Aweber to someone else if our requirements change.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    1. Best way to get people to whitelist is put them to a visual thank you page,
spend $25-$50 to get a kick ass screen mock that shows them like children what they need to do to whitelist. This way they are taking action. You'll get higher quality optins this way. Add a quick vid or audio of you explaining it, and it's kick ass. I've seen this work very well.

    2. Since it's that important bro, better call AW to confirm. I believe the from is the first convention (XX@aweber.com) as mentioned.
