Anyone publish ebook on kindle?

I've been developing an ebook and I was thinking about going with clickbank, but then I though, why not publish with amazon kindle and have much more potential affiliates and buyers for my product.

Has anyone does this? How did it turn out? Any issues you encountered?

Kindle has been quick to publish on but take care to read the how to guides so you get the simple formatting correct. Also, you'll want to do some promoting for your ebook using the Amazon forum as well. But they have instruction in there on how to do that as well. Anytime I've published on Kindle the price has been low enough - around 5.00 - that affiliates aren't interested. But if your book has value as a hard copy you can use Create Space on Amazon and publish as a hard copy too.

Just do a search for Kindle on the forums here - you'll find lots of threads.

I published one and am working on another. It was so easy I couldn't believe it. The process is not hard and it was approved within 24 hours.

Sure - we've done both. There is a difference in terms of price point and affiliate network (obviously) that you will want to take into account.

I would suggest that if you are going for multiple, smaller guides in a market that has wide ranging interest, then go with Kindle.

If your goal is to come out with more of a training guide or package and you want to charge $27-$67 then you want to do that on Clickbank.

With Kindle you will need to price your ebooks very low to get widespread attention - which you can then use to sell more and more, but the model is quite different.

If you are willing to keep putting out ebooks and you have a market that is fairly mainstream, then go for Kindle.

If your titles sell easily and well, they should be of interest to serious affiliates using the performance model for advertising fees.

Many Amazon associates take a two-pronged approach to their promotions - offering at least one 'easy' low cost product (and usually a variety of them) to build numbers and push the referral percentage up plus their typical higher-dollar offers.

Sell 6 $5 ebooks and you make $1.80 in referral fees. Not much to get excited about, right?

But you also jump from 4% to 6% on your higher dollar sales, giving yourself a 50% raise in rate. Sell a 500 dollar widget, and the referral fee goes from $20 to $30.

If your Kindle ebook converts easily, it's definitely worth promoting just for the boost to other commissions.

Yes, we have published on the Kindle and have done really well. It takes a great plan and lots of marketing behind it but the good news is, not many people are doing that so there isn't much competition.

Most people put their books on the Kindle and think they will sell themselves so it makes it easier for those of us who have a nice marketing/branding plan behind our Kindle titles.

I'm not too big on Kindle since I've received several thousand emails on how to make money with Kindle. Anyway, have you thought about using selling the ebook along with the MRR?
