New Way For Article Marketing

I want to ask some opinions here about article marketing. If you were going to get serious about it what services would you use besides Ezine?

They are giving me way to much grief over where the links in the resource boxes are directed to. I have corrected one article 6 or 7 times and it's all about the page where people land is not informational enough??

Its a sales page just like everybody else uses. I even used the same page I created for another article and it was rejected for the same reason. That article had been approved a few days before.

So anyway what article directories would you use that have close to the link juice of Ezine but not as strict and maybe even offer a premier type of membership.

Thanks.

Personally I'd want one to be more strict, not less strict, than EZA.

The reason EZA is (relatively) strict is that they want to try to regulate quality, because without doing that they have SEO problems, Google doesn't love them, and so on. That's why - as they explain so openly themselves - they've become so much stricter (albeit "too little, too late", according to many of us) after the last Google algorithm change.

What they want, I'd want for my own articles, if I were doing article directory marketing (I do in fact submit, almost daily, to EZA but not for their traffic or backlinks). I wouldn't want my articles in less strict places - that wouldn't do me much good, would it? If they're publishing junk, then Google will hammer them again and again and they have little value to me, either. By definition.

But in any case, if you'll excuse the observation, all of this is perhaps confusing "article marketing" with "article directory marketing", really. The difference between the two is covered in this post from earlier today, which I think also answers your question above (kind of) ...

    Indeed.

    I understand.

Yes, they want the sites to which you link to be informative, not selling.

I really think you'd probably be better off using places other than article directories. Ezines, web 2.0 properties, and so on. Article directories "worse" than EZA aren't going to bring you any real traffic. There are reasons for that.

Like Alexa said- I think if you really got serious about it you'd look other places besides just Ezinearticles.

Besides guest blogging/writing articles for existing ezines, you can use Squidoo, Hubpages, Associated Content, Buzzle, Weebly, etc.

Besides EZA, I also submit my articles to context-relevant high ranking websites and blogs, niche ezine publishers, and offline outlets such as magazines, trade journals, professional newsletters, newspapers, etc. Offline publications generally all have authoritative online components.

Other article directories you could submit to are

    buzzle
    article city
    article dashboard
    goarticles
    ideamarketers

Also you could take article marketing to the next level
by creating videos about the article then submitting
    the video to video directories.

No external links allowed, there. What would be the point?

    streetarticles is really good.

they approve super quickly and I've had some articles rank better than ezine. Not to mention it was designed for internet marketers.
