This Article Site May Outperform Ezine Articles in 2009 ...

Today I was searching the most profitable keywords for a brand new niche I'm working on, and I noticed that article base (Free Articles Directory | Submit Articles - ArticlesBase.com) often get TOP 10 position.

And what I noticed is that it often BEAT ezinearticles, even if there are SEVERAL ezinearticles page for the same keyword.

So boys and girls, add articlesbase.com to your submission strategy because you will get a lot of traffic.

Hi Franck,

That's not really true, in my opinion.

If you're doing a search on Google, Google will turn up
results that's relative to the location that you are
searching from.

So it may just turn out to be that ArticlesBase.com is
giving you results based on where you are searching
from.

For example, when I search for something in Singapore,
I get tons of article results from StreetDirectory.com
but that doesn't mean that it's better than EzineArticles.com

Unless I'm reading you wrongly...

This is true, the location may affect this a little bit. However, you shouldn't neglect articlesbase if you are using articles in your marketing strategy because it's strong.

I browse with a proxy, and it still return strong results for articlebases (stronger than article dashboard, Squidoo, hubpages and other sites)

While I agree, there are a number of factors that are responsible for good rankings (in fact there are over 200 rules in the ranking algorithm) ... I also do agree that you should consider submitting articles to articlesbase.com.

After reading this thread, I checked out the site, and it does look quite authoritative. Let us compare both.

Articles base does command enough authority to submit to but I doubt it will upstage EZA in 2009.. and I mean upstage in the aspect of overall traffic and link authority.

My strategy is to submit to EzineArticles first and
when it gets approved, I mass submit it to all the
other article directories.

Including ArticlesBase.com, amongst many others.

I use EzineArticles for the approval process precisely
because they're strict and I want my articles to pass
the test on the other article directories.

The problem with the strategy is that because
EzineArticles takes quite a long time (for me, at least)
to approve articles in the competitive niches, it
takes a while.

I highly doubt they will overtake EZA. In fact, I'm positive that they won't.

ArticleBase is decent but they don't bring me anywhere near the traffic that EZA does plus they are no-follow which is just plain garbage.

They don't have do follow links when you use anchor text...Also it doesn't get you much traffic or sales. It can't match ezinearticles by any means.

Hey, you are right.

As for traffic, I get the more traffic from EA than any other article site. I wasn't saying that AB will become better than EA as a whole, it was just that AB should be added to your article strategy.

articlebase isn't really in the ezine articles league. It's used by a bunch of scrapers too, for example, I think 'caffeinated content' scrapes it. Pretty hard to scrape ezine articles.

I don't know if they can overthrow EA in 1 year, but then again, I've been wrong about many other things.. like facebook for example...

For all you peeps strictly relying on EA for your article marketing needs.. all I have to say is don't be putting all your eggs into one basket... it will eventually drop, and some of them will break!
