        All Wordpress blogs are free.

Wordpress.com is a hosting place for a very limited range of basic Wordpress blogs, but nothing monetised is allowed there at all. No affiliate links - nothing like that. It's totally unsuitable for your purposes.

If wanting to use Wordpress, you need hosting for it.

That's where byethost.com comes into it: you can host your own Wordpress blog there. You download the software for it (free) from Wordpress.org.

The answer to your original question is that Byethost is better in almost every way, but especially because it's a way of using Wordpress and avoiding Blogger hosting, which is something you need to do for all the reasons explained in such detail in this thread a few days ago.

And to make sure that you don't ever need to start off a thread like this one!

If you want your own Wordpress blog on your own hosting, you'll need a domain-name for it, but this isn't a big deal because GoDaddy sells .info domain-names for $1, or you can even get a free one, I think, from .tk.

(Don't use ".co.cc", though, because their subdomains have all apparently been deindexed by Google yesterday).
