30 Day Blog Flip Challenge

Saw this on another site - And think it would be an awesome way to kick off the new year.

Starting January 1st I'm going to attempt to take a blog and flip it for as much money as possible.

The Blog is Free Student Loan Info, Student Loan rates, Financial Aid, Grants, Stafford Loans, Student Loan ebook. As you can see it has a few posts but that's it. Just kinda messing around with it.

I think this challenge is a good way to start off the year in a positive money making way.

On January 30th the blog goes up on SitePoint.

My goal is to rake in 1500 dollars on the sale - AS well as make 200-300 selling an ebook I'm going to make for this.

I'll keep this thread updated with pertinent info.

PS - If anyone wants to get in on this challenge with me - shoot me a PM so we can exchange ideas and what not.

Looks really nice. I suggest only that you remove the
posting dates and add some student loan aff offers.

Good luck man!

As a full time Niche Site Flipper I've got a few pieces of quick advice...

Make the site as pretty as possible, this includes spicing up your logo a bit, and utilizing high resolution stock images from sites like sxc.hu
If you've generated a couple of sales via the site, this will help to flip it at the price you're hunting.
I would have at least 25-30 unique posts for that price.
Also, using a premium WP theme with a custom admin panel - like those provided by Woo Themes, Revolution etc...
Provide multiple streams of revenue
IF possible, find a high quality PLR ebook, rebranded with resale rights and link a nice, branded 300x250 add which directs the user to an integrated sales page - this increases the value immensely.

To give you an example.. here is a site that I sold for $297 (10 posts), encompasses everything I just shared with you, and it took me 3 days to put together (I sell between 6-8 of these style sites per month)

You can check to see if you can get it ghost written for you from a Warrior. You might check the Warrior Special Offers for either ghost writing or PLR in your niche.

You can also start here: http://master-resale-rights.com/

Then just do a Google search for PLR eBooks and similar keywords.

You'll find several sites that can provide some quality content that you can re-purpose.

Remember, a crappy site with good traffic and earnings will sell much better than a slick new site...

Are images from that site: sxc.hu free??

Does that mean webmasters can get images from that site without paying a cent???

Hehe, very helpful tip. It's kind of shocking, although true. I've seen this happen so many times it's ridiculous.

Hey this sounds good, I have a blog I recently started that I might do this challenge with - build it up over this month and list it on January 30th

www.yojo-yoga.com is the one I am going to do. I wasn't planning on doing an ebook for this one though but rather just promote affiliate products. I wonder what is everyone's opinion on that, should it have its own ebook or will affiliate programs be enough?

You will command more money if the site has an 'wholly owned income producing asset'. So, yes if it has a book, more money. If it has videos, more money. If it has a 'membership' .... well, you get the point. lol.

The more income streams a site has, the more it's worth.
