Great way to start July...1st Sales Ever!

First and Foremost, I would like to sincerely thank everyone here on the Warrior Forum...I certainly couldn't have done it without you all!

After 5 months of grueling work building my foundation and enduring the learning curve, it was a "site-to-see" catching an email from PayPal stating "Notification of Payment from...."

The funny thing is, I didn't just make my 1st sale, I actually made 2 independent sales today and was shocked to see not one, but two payments were received.

The initial product sells for $19.97, and has an upsell built in, so I am curious to see if it generates more sales on the backend?

Naturally, I won't be retiring anytime soon, but to know; "The hard work is starting to pay-off, and that this is all very much REAL....WOW!"

How the sales came to be:

I applied some SEO techniques I picked up here on WF, built a simple Wordpress review site last week and amazingly it reached PR1 and PR2 rankings on the top 3 search engines in less than 10 days!

Applying these techniques had me excited implementing the knowledge I am gaining, and seeing these SEO practices working in the SERPs increased my faith 10 fold... even before catching my first sales today.

In closing, this post was not to brag, nor anything other than sharing my excitement and experience with those who may be skeptical whether making money online is real?

I can (finally) tell you with an absolute truth; "If you stick with it...the sales will come!"

P.S. - Forget the money....having my wife and kids finally see and witness what I have been saying is real, that is truly priceless!

Again, Thank You Warriors - You guys were my life support when my dreams started looking like nightmares

    Congrats!!

I too had some people trying to bring me down about my online ventures years ago untill I was able to show my first check from Clickbank for $336. 5 Years ago and I still remember that number.

Keep up the hard work and it will definitely pay off in the long run. Maybe this time next year you'll be doing this full time from your couch.

    Good Luck,
    Mike

    Great job Art72! It's a great feeling isn't it?

Just out of curiosity- did they purchase from a sales page on your Wordpress site, or did you recommend the product 'in-text' in a blog post?

Also you may want to consider getting a PayPal Debit Card if you don't have one yet. Mine's saved my life a few times

    Thanks for all your responses.

To clarify a few things, I ranked the sites high for keywords, after reseaching the competiton. Therefore, I did'nt outsource anything on this particular project. Amazingly, the review blog provided my affiliate links...which I know was where one of the sales generated.

Unfortunately, I have analytics set up...but still cannot nail down how the other sale came to be?

In the future i'll have to spend some time tweaking filters and set analytics up a bit better. Ironically, Iusually always add a statcounter as well since it's free, and it provides some great tracking info. But on this site it was so new...did'nt even get that far and caught 2 sales.

I am seeing more free opt-ins...but no real flood of sales yet. I think applying basic SEO meta, h1 tags, title, description, and a decent article did 90% of the work. Now that people are opting in...I need to strengthen my email campaigns and work on building more content, and keep the interests of both the buyers and prospective new customers.

Either way, I'm just happy to have broken the ice...it was frustrating not having a single sale.

    Thanks again...all the best
