What're your favorite traffic driving methods, you like to use mostly in your marketing campaigns.

RSS users are among the smartest and wealthiest people on the web and great prospects to deal with.

Remember, anything with a RSS url can be pinged.

Any webpage can be converted into an RSS feed.

- It's great set it and forget it marketing - once you've tweaked your sales process.

Article marketing is a great way to drive TARGETED traffic to your site. Just do a little keyword research before you write them.

Creating keyword focused articles are the best and most effective.

Also, don't forget social networks they can be powerful. You just have to know how to build relationships.

Video marketing

Article marketing (remember, you can make all your articles into videos!)

Blogging (you can automate this with by planning posts months in advance)

PPC (adbrite.com is a great way to get started with PPC... .05 per visitor)

Craigslist posting... not sure how the guy automates it to 95% with all the new craigslist rules, only post 3 ads per verified email address every 48 hours.

First of all Merry Xmas & very happy new year to everyone. I believe nothing will work if your website is not optimised for specific keywords & you dont have enough quality contents. For any new website best option to drive traffic would be to
1) Add your website to various search engines(There are 1000 of them)
2) Submit short articles to article directories (1500 or more article directories are there)
3) Regularly participate in forums
4) Particpate in link exchange with relevant sites
5) Give free stuffs & spread viral traffic with links to your website
6) For website who are not showing google adsense ads or any other pay per click ads, may use traffic exchange programs (tarffic quality is not good)
7) Participate in social networking website & spread news about your website.

First thing that I did with my site is SEO to get long term traffic. Its now more than 5 months when I last made some modifications related to SEO on site. And glad to know that as the content on my site is growing the SEO is showing the effects.

The other thing that I did was submitted my site to more than 1000+ webdirectories, but I know out of them only few accepted. So my site is listed in around 400-500 directories.

Side by side I am doing some forum posting things using my signature in the posts and sometimes article submission too.

One time I tried Social networking and then I realized than it won't be good for long term, so I am not doing it anymore.

As for me, I go for Joint Venture
traffic.

The pros are that they are extremely
targeted and they trust the list owners.

So when the list owner promotes
your promote, there is already
a trust and there will be higher conversion.

Great tips here...... Old fashion marketing still works too.
There are many places you can advertise for FREE that are not on the Internet.
Business cards, Lawn signs, Window decals, Post cards, and many more places.

Search engines like Google consider some of the back links resources as garbages. Perhaps it may be a cause to low down your current page rank too....

How did you find good ones? Alexa or another?

I did some research about traffic exchange programs, found there're some scams too.. but most of them are honest. It's possible that if you want 1000 traffic within 30 sec you can achieve it with TE's. But the reality is ulitimete results are bad. all of surfers in same mind, They hope nothing except collecting credites for their own accounts.

Did not make me much money, but it make me feel a little important.

My point being. The best traffic is recomondations of your website without your own knowledge.

I don't think you can go wrong with a good article marketing plan. Proper keyword research is key.

I'm interested in doing more social marketing, particularly on social interaction sites (twitter, facebook, myspace). But, as with everything, it can be very time consuming. And I haven't yet gotten into a groove with those methods.

thats a lot of views buddy.. poor clicks though.. Did you add value in your video.. When its a advertisement people dont care. If they are getting some useful from you videos you will get **** loads of clicks.

Also if your using a tracking link nobody is going to click on it.

video is my biggest source of traffic. when your doing it right its amazing source of traffic.

you can use traffic geyser and tube mogul to get ranked in under 24hrs also

Youtube has been excellent. One of my vids has over 50,000 views. Just think of that "Charlieeeeeeeeeeee" video and you can imagine how powerful youtube can be as a traffic driving medium.

Right now I mainly utilize free traffic methods such as article marketing, forum marketing, Squidoo and Hubpages, blogging, social networking and also SEO (organic traffic) as well.

In addition, I also recently found that Twitter is also great tool to build relationships with your readers and attract free traffic as well.
