Flippa traffic trick!

Hi all,

Here is a Flippa traffic tirck:

  1. Go to Flippa.com
  2. Go to Buy websites
  3. Select a website that is close to your interest and view the details
  4. Scroll down, find and then click the "Verified Google Analytics PDF" link
  5. When the PDF is opened, scroll down to "Traffic Sources" and then find the "keywords" bit
  6. Copy and Paste the most searched keyword term of that website into Google
  7. When you get the results in the most cases you don't see Google Sponsored Links (AdWords ads) with the organic results
  8. So you could build a website based on that keyword and you could advertise it on Google search for a very very low price (Because there are no competitors). Usually that is $0.02 per click.
So you can get very cheap, very targeted traffic.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards,
Akos

Cool method, very unique and interesting. It's always good to think outside the box.

And what if those keywords don't get searched for very often? Doesn't matter if your cost is $.02 or $2.00... if you don't get clicks, you don't get traffic, which means zero sales.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Of course before you start building that niche website/blog, you check Google Trends and Google AdWords Keyword Research Tool for the search volume.

I find it hard to believe there are no competitors for the most searched terms. You sure about that?
I tried it with about 10-15 sites today and I found no competitors. I think that's because there are competiting long tail keywords.

Or you could do the exact same thing by simply posting the url within Alexa.com and looking at the statistical data.

As for no competitors and $0.02 clicks, .......

I think you haven't used Adwords recently. $0.02 clicks? Even with zero competition Google will set a minimum bid based on quality score.

Set it to $0.02 and all you will see is a message saying "This ad is rarely shown".

Even if it did work, why would the most popular keywords in a niche have no advertisers?

This is a nice method if you are ready for some SEO competition. I have done this at one point for an adsense niche and my website is still stuck on page 6.

All the websites in front of me are domain optimized for the keyword. That tells you you are dealing with a lot of people/competition.

    Awesome though.

That's a rough one, OP, because it doesn't differentiate between paid and non-paid traffic. Also, this doesn't do much for you in the way of judging competition and just because THEY were able to drive traffic from that keyword doesn't mean YOU will be able to.

It isn't a perfect plan, but it is a great way to get keyword ideas.

Yea, I have tried this out before after reading it somewhere else. All the keywords I came across where definitely not buyer keywords. Maybe if you do a adsense site around them and rank it provided competition is relatively low.
