I noticed that page rank of my websites (all those who had a Page Rank) has been reduced. PR4 sites are now PR3, PR3 ones are now PR2 or 1.

This has resulted in few advertisers dropping out and adsense revenue reduced.

Does anyone knows the reason? Has that happened with others to?

Mine have gone up. Maybe a lot of your links came from poor quality sites that Google recently slapped in their algo changes?

Hi Giani, my site was a PR 3 and now its is PR1 for like 8 months. I don't care because I saw the traffic has increased over time. PR drop only means that now when you will link a site, it will share less juice, but your site on google will function like before. Also, there is another page rank that updates like everyday in SERP's

Mine held steady but wasn't expecting to go above 6 this time. Had lots of PR 5 pages internally after the update. Overall, I found most of the phpLD customer sites did well this time. One directory got a PR 9 and there were 3 PR 8s as well.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

    Giani,
The specific reason for your site...not sure.

However, Google made a pagerank update last week and that is why you are seeing these changes now.

It could be that some of your links are no longer linking back...or pages got deindexed...links fell of the front page (blogs, etc.) or sites when out of business...or sites that were linking were also devalued so that the backlinks to your site were devalued as well.

Too hard to say exactly for sure...

Have your rankings been affected as well? Or just your PR value?

Yes, Google has released a new update to their PR last week and luckily I was fortunate enough to have an increase from 0 to PR2 for one site. Sweet!

It's always hard to say why in increased or decreased, links being removed, pages de-indexed, age of the site. It's hard to say exactly. Add this to the list of Google mysteries

Mine went from PR0 to PR3 within a couple of weeks.

It's all down to content now.

There may be other factors, but quality content is the main one after panda.

I think PR is pretty irrelevant now.

I don't look at it at all in my seo campaigns.

The only number I look for is the actual ranking. You can get caught up in all these different numbers but IMO it isn't worth your time. Some people religiously keep their backlink count...One of my sites shows a difference of over back links 200k links when comparing Google webmaster/Yahoo/and Majestic.

I have many sites which out rank High Pr sites for money making terms. to me thats all I worry about.

Make sure to check again as there was a PR update recently. It might of gone down because your links arent that strong anymore.
