Could someone Please review my Website?

I need a really honest critique, Right now we have finnaly figured out the secret to generating steady traffic locally which we are excited about. currently this site is converting visitors to leads at 6.4%, however we havent gotten a phone call or form submission for about 10 days.

the site is designed to generate personal training leads in the orlando area, and we would like to get out conversion rate much higher considering out traffic is extremly targeted.

some things we are considering are adding our phoine number at the top in big catchy lettering, and shortening our forms. most people end up going to the home page de to the traffic methods used, so any suggestions for that would be great as well.

thois is very important and ANY advice is greatly appriciated!

    Josh,

Your opt-in form is good, but it's at the BOTTOM of the page! Put it at the top, "above the fold" -- i.e. visitors shouldn't have the scroll down to see it. Put it in the upper right-hand corner. Maybe play around with a catchier title for the report.

Personally, if it were me, I'd redo the entire homepage. Make it a squeeze page. A squeeze page has ONE goal only: to get your visitors to opt in to your list! That's it. Don't try to make it do more than that.

You don't have to do a cheesy hard sell, but you DO need to make a VERY enticing offer. Don't distract your visitors with anything else. Your home page should contain ONLY your opt-in offer. That's it.

Put all of your other info on another page. If you don't feel comfortable doing a squeeze page with no other links to the other pages of your site, you can still put the links to the other pages of your site on the page. But links ONLY. Nothing else.

In fact, you can put them at the BOTTOM of the page, where visitors are less likely to see them. Keep the opt-in offer at the top -- above the fold. Or you can just have a simple "Enter Site Here" link -- at the bottom! (I've seen this done on some very successful marketer's sites. I didn't even realize one marketer had such a link to the rest of her site until I scrolled way down to the bottom of her page. And that was after several times of visiting her site. You can check it out for yourself: she's Lori Morgan Ferrero of RedHotCopy.com See how she did her squeeze page?)

You should see a difference in opt-ins and conversions just by switching the position of your info. Flip it. That's all you have to do.

And play around with the title of your report/offer and you could see a bigger jump in conversions. As a copywriter myself, I think you'd be well-served to tweak and test the title of your report and the offer you make on the page. Testing is the name of the game.

    Good luck!

You didn't spot the pecs then Michelle lol

I'd maybe put the sign up box in the left hand panel, same with your certificates. Always on show then no matter what page your visitor is on.

Also a colored background might brighten it up

      Cheers

        Yes I did, Kim.

But I studiously and habitually IGNORE good-looking men. The better looking they are, the more I ignore them.

As a single woman who's found the dating game (and dating services) to be less than satisfactory (in a MAJOR way), I deliberately choose to focus my attention and energies elsewhere. Otherwise, I'd be depressed and suicidal. (As it is, I have to fight off the urge to indulge in regular pity parties. )

That said, if anyone knows a single guy they'd recommend and wants to hook up a single girl with someone who's amibitious and a go-getter (and preferably entrepreneurial), then PM me!

I don't know that it needs to be "big catchy lettering"; I think it just needs to match the design and maybe even blend in a bit. Maybe in red lettering below the slogan?

But, I think I would definitely add the phone number. Right now, it's not real clear (from first glance) whether you're an actual "real world" firm or just a website selling an eBook. I think adding the phone number at the top would hit them with the "real world" impression.

I totally agree with Michelle - squeeze page would be great. As it is, my first reaction was one of "OK, what do I have to read now, what do they want me to do? What's the point of this page?" Maybe not consciously, but I'm just relaying what my subconscious told me ;-)

Also, the video, although it's a nice story and all, was totally boring to me. If I had seen that guy's physical transformation, or - better yet - seen him talking directly to me about your program, that would be different. As it is, it felt like kind of waste of time to me.

Don't mean to be too harsh - just calling 'em as I sees 'em ;-) And, of course, that's my own personal reaction.

As with anything, testing is the key, and I think a squeeze page would be an excellent test in this case, maybe with/without video or with/without a different video - interview, perhaps?

    Hope that helps,

    Bill

Your USP is all over the place... literally, scattered all over the website.

Seems like you are marketing to the masses instead of tightly focussing on the wants/needs of a particular market segment and ladies/men are too broad of a market.

I read one of your testimonials which was very good... "Fat & Forty" stuck out in my mind as I'm sure quite a few folks in that demographic feel the same way and want to change their lifestyle for the better.

Who is most likely to sign up for this service?

    - 40 year old working moms/dads.
    - 19 - 25 year old club kids
    - Seniors?

What is your most wanted action?

    - sign up for the consultation.
    - sign up to the newsletter.

I had to dig to find what was unique about the PT service offered that differentiates itself from the hundreds of others in the market and I stumbled upon something that said they will come to my home/office or training facility.

In home PT? Sounds good for husbands and wives with little time that would benefit from a 2 for 1 offer.

The guarantee does not instil confidence in your service:

Your Results Are Backed By An Ironclad Guarantee - You'll see incredible results or we'll purchase a 1 year gym membership for you as our personal apology!
Honestly, I would thank you for the recommendation to purchase a gym membership instead of wasting your time with me so I wouldn't be inclined to take action with your service - somewhat intimidating.

What's the difference between a personal trainer and a performance specialist and which one should the prospect choose.... if there is an option to choose?

The website is clean and easily read.

Lose the stock photo graphics and replace with a before/after pic of one of your "real" clients.

I would definitely incorporate video testimonials as well on the consultation sign-up page.

I like the website it's just that the message is rather cluttered and I'm not sure what you want the visitor to do when they arrive at the home page.

This headline is all about you and will turn off the prospect:

"Welcome To IRON STRONG! We Are Orlando's Top Personal Training and Performance Enhancement Firm!"

It needs to speak to your target market's desires.

Also, there was a paragraph somewhere that I read where the content was literally bashing the competition.... not good.

The truth is, we are not just better. We are far above and beyond the rest. In fact, our exclusive personal training services and our talented team of personal trainers cannot even be classified in the same category as our competition.
What you should do is emphasize your USP rather than say you are the best which, is a subjective term relative to the diversity of the broad market you're trying to tap into.

I've responded with the best intentions for your success with the site as a potential customer along with a little marketing prowess mixed in.

All the best and be sure to test your page in person with people who would be your next customer.

thank you all very much! to clark: about my guarantee that puts alot of risk on me, refunding a client for 12 weeks of personal training services at 2400 per month is extremly taxing especialy with the extra expense. with out offering a refund for services that are already rendered (even though we havent had a complaint yet) how can i make a more enticing guarantee.

as for as the way we go about ourselves, we target high class, high income men and women 25 and up, the copy is emotionally driven on the male and femal pages for some one of that nature at least that was the goal! they in the past have shown an interest in the fact that we are the best, and we differ from other trainers becuase of our memberships, the type of training we do and the luxurious benefits and features included with our memberships... thank you again im going to work right now on it with the team to start implementing some changes immidiatly!

any more suggestions are deffinetly appriciated!

I didn't see the previous version but the current version looks professional. There are a few typos/misspellings (receive, exclusive, waist are a few) I'd suggest having a proof reader go over it. Do you have a name associated with the testimonial? It would make it more believable. Regarding the testimonial - 12 dress sizes would be from a 22 to a 0... could someone have their math wrong? It doesn't ring true to me.

i can assure you its true, shes english, i dont know if maybe they count odd sizes, i know we do here, atleast my fiance does, she has size 3 dress', and i shop with her and routinely see odd number sizes up through the twenties.

as for a name, yes the name is there, i bleibve if not its a typo i will get it on there right away! and yes we are having a proof reader go through for spelling mistakes!

BTW shes now a size 6 at the current moment and time!

I don't know about your market and how your prospects think, but...

Would it work if you implemented a "and bring a friend" element to your free personal training session offer?

If people are reluctant about working with a PT, perhaps having a friend along will make them more comfortable. And you get 2 prospects rather than one. And they could end up being "accountability partners" of sorts.

Again, not sure if it's viable for your market. Just a thought that popped into my head.

Junior sizes are odd (1,3,5 -13), ladies sizes are even (0,2,4,6 into the 20s). I've never heard of anyone including the odd sizes in that manner.

If your audience is in the US that testimonial won't ring true to your female audience. I'd ask the client to amend it - perhaps she went from a size 18 to a 6 - or use another testimonial.

thanks for the input, but the fact is she DID start out at a size 22, shes now a size 6! I have her phone number and email and shes more than happy to speak with any prospect in Dis-Belief. It's called Results.

i'll be happy to put up her full contact info on the page.

to everyone else, thank you for the input im very thankful and hard at work tweaking and teasting!

if anyone else has any suggestions please feel free!

    Guys,

Josh has a service based website providing information on his personal training services and an optin box to generate leads and appointments. To suit this purpose i think your site looks great.

IMO you should start promoting it and see what sort of results you get. once you have some stats then you can test and tweak different areas. Try to drive traffic from different sources including offline advertising in your local media.

You should probably add a disclaimer page and TOS.

In the personal training field, you are bound to have some that don't like the results, especially in weight loss.

The guarantee does not have to be 12 weeks refund, but if after 3 weeks or so.

Agreed the contact info needs to be nearer the top, and testimonials are a must in this field, so put some on the front page- with actual pic's if you can.

      Best!

On some subpages, you're not showing the opt-in form again. Also, personal preference, but I'd change the navbar font.
