How would you start if you had a $0 budget?

A thought just crossed my mind while going through some threads here on WF.

Most people here are looking for answers on how they can get started earning money online.

Most are also looking for the easiest and cheapest way to start with little or no overheads.

So, what would you do to start earning online(not necessarily on Internet Marketing) and in the fastest way possible and without any capital?

I would probably start by writing articles and web content through some sites that pay like london brokers and independent publishing.

Then, using the earnings made in the first week (at 5 articles a day, each paying $5, thats $125 a week direct to my paypal on londonbrokers), I would have good capital to invest in a domain and hosting and a good autoresponder (about $50 in total).

I would then research and identify a winnable niche or microniche (there's a lot of training on this online) and hunt for affiliate products I could promote on it. This would form the theme of my affiliate website.

I would then write content for my website and recommend the products using my affiliate links. I would also use adsense on my website.

This would form me a nice automated income stream.

As I await for good traffic and consistent sales, I would keep writing articles for the paying article writing sites as well as continuously adding content to my website.

Perhaps, I would also consider doing a gig on fiverr .

What would you do?

Probably do a paper route or talk to friends/family to get $50.

Then research a niche on Clickbank that you can affiliate to, then buy a domain, get web hosting, and start building valuable content to promote that CB product on your website.

I was going to suggest fiverr, but you mentioned it in your post.

There are lots of Fiverr clones popping up now where you can earn more than a fiverr. Several Warriors have launched their own "clones".

There are tons of new clones of fiverr that potentially make more... but for some reason they seem rather sleazy to me. Imitation may be flattery, but when it comes to junk... do you want to be honored with it?

London Brokers say $5 an article but they usually want 2 re-writes of the same article as well. That's three 500 word articles for $5.

Right--when I wrote for them I only chose standard articles, for that reason, and the number of available articles were very, very low. They do pay every week though, once you get past the $10 threshold.

Sometimes a man got to do what a man got to do! When you are down to your last cent, 3 articles at $5 is a no brainer especially if you know where you are going. In any case, you can pick standard articles only(probably the urgent ones).

Anyway, the point here is, you have to start somewhere to change the $0!!

Great way to make money is to use warriorforum itself.

Find something that interests you on WF and stay in that section for atleast a week, asking questions, answering people's questions, reading some how to's and then compiling them all together to make a ebook and sell that here.

Also, if you had a little money to invest in a hosting account, domain name, and maybe a autoresponder, it would help make you more income.

If you need me to go in more detail just reply here and I can answer your questions so that everyone else can learn too.

Old saying = "It Takes Money to Make Money"

Most real entrepreneurs start by getting a day job and using money they've saved to go into business. The alternative is to have rich parents or family members who are willing to bankroll you.

      Good examples :

Sam Walton (founder of Walmart) worked his way to the top BUT he did borrow $50,000 from his family AFTER he built himself into the position to open his first store.

Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg were both rich kids who had parents that weren't short on cash by any means and got bankrolled plus. Bill Gates' mom was very influential and helped him get many of his first contracts.

So, if you're a poor kid without rich parents, probably the best thing you can do is get a job. Work as hard as you can, climb ladders and try to save your money. A good education doesn't hurt either.

You're certainly not going to get rich pulling Fiverr gigs but if you have some programming skills, think about how Fiverr was made successful and find something of your own to work until it's successful.

Keep your day job. Sell some stuff on eBay for enough jack to get a domain name, hosting account and Aweber account. Sell your TV, extra car if you have one, whatever. How bad do you want to make it online?

Then build a list using free (but labor intensive) methods. Work your ass off. Stop watching TV (you may not have one after all.) Stop going out for a beer. Put your spare time into your biz. Do affiliate marketing. Buy some decent PLR and make it your own and sell it to your list. Keep going. When you get some cash - DON'T spend it. Put back into your biz. Buy traffic. Do your own product (or have it done.) Put all your profits back into your business until you can afford to go fulltime and outsource a lot of the crap work. Basically, bootstrap into a real business of your own.

I'd probably go on Clickbank or another affiliate program. Then I would be active on a couple forums in a related niche, get some reputation, and then try and get people to my affiliate link.

Depends on your skillset you are starting with.

Webdesigner - Build some affiliate sites.
Sales person - Go offline and sell some packages to local businesses then outsource the actual work.
Real Estate Agent - Build a local real estate site that will kill in the rankings (outsource if you have to) and collect a ton of leads. Sell the leads if you must.
Racecar driver - Write a course on driving. Make some really cool DVDs to go with it. Hire a cheap web guy to get a squeezepage up.
    The list is endless.

I was a business analyst/real estate success so I happened to learn how to use marketing to profit from those fields. They I branched out. I happen to be able to do websites and graphics and it was def. the base skills i needed most.

Btw, it only really costs a few bucks to really get going. Domains are $2-$3, webhosting is around $7/mn. All u really need to get going on affiliate income.

You should probably start out with small tasks like article writing or link building. Once you get into the hundreds per month, you should start outsourcing your website and SEO work. Then use those monthly revenues to scale up.

    1. Find a very, very competitive buying niche

    2. Do a google search for your niches blogs/sites (paid)

    3. Contact around 40 of those site owners about an interview

    4. Interview them via skype using free software/addons

    5. Build a site and sales page around those interviews.

    6. Sign up for a $1 aweber trial

    7. Offer your interviews 90% commissions to promote themselves

    8. Build you a list of buyers while receiving 10% off all sales.

    9. Follow up with affiliate promotions

    10. Rinse and Repeat?

EDUCATION! If you are unable to enter the marketing scene straight away because of lack of money; learn as much as you can from people who ARE making money now.

Since I've don't have rich parents or relatives and always had to bootstrap I would keep my day job as long a possible. I would learn as much about geo-targeted promotions on Google places, SEO, and local directories. There are a lot of free YouTube videos and free ebooks on all these topics.

I'd sell promotional packages to local businesses to get them in Google places (usually $100s of dollars or more to set up a Google places listing, and get links from local directories, I'd also market on Craigslist. This is much more promising than $5 on Fiverr or similar sites IMHO.

A lot of info is free on YouTube if you know how to search for it. You'd learn a lot more about how to do it than the average brick and mortar business.

I think the best start is to keep away from buying any product at all.

Take what education you can find online and build a good foundation and gain a knowledge of the business--and all this is freely available on the internet.

Using EzineArticles and YouTube can be great resources to at least get you started by learning terminology, the variations of strategies, systems, platforms, and then taking all that information and begin by blogging using free tools.

Write about an interest you have and keep it simple, but keep actively adding articles.

This offers a lot of good experience, and with Amazon ads, and Adsense accounts, you may even see a small income coming in to get you to the next level.

Of course, this is very general, but being such an enormous subject, this would be my suggestion for the IMer on a "0" budget.

Here's one method you can start with $0 budget.

(Selling own products is best way possible to find real success as internet marketer)

    1. Create a PayPal account.
    2. Find a legitimate program allows you to earn money free.
    3. Stick into the method, start hard working and start collecting money.

OK, There are money on your PayPal account now.
    ---------
    4. Select a niche as you prefer.
    5. Search niche forums, groups, answering communities and find problems available on the selected niche.
    6. Create free product and paid product while giving solutions for these problems. (If you have enough money on PayPal, you can outsource this step as project)
    7. Buy a domain, hosting service, and sign up with Autoresponder service.
    8. Create sales page for paid product, choose transaction service (like PayPal), and publish site.
    9. Create nice lead capture page for free product, combine it with Autoresponder, publish.
    10. Start generating traffic into the lead capture page, and build a targeted list.

    Traffic tips,

    i) SEO and blogging.
    ii) Niche forums, groups.
iii) Commenting on high traffic blogs.
iv) Viral reports, Documents, Videos, Audios

Or, if you have enough money, paid advertising

    11. Next, start promoting paid report into the list.

P.S, there are plenty of related issues inside these steps, you'll have to face them when you're working..... Ask helps from warriors.

I find that its not actually that easy to get started in article marketing unless you have some great sample work. One way around this is to offer some work for free. This gives the double bonus of adding to your portfolio and hopefully getting some great references. To start making some capital in the meantime the easiest bet in my opinion is to do some paid forum posting.

Unfortunately you have to spend money to make money in most cases. In this case, Cheap and Fastest do not go together I'm afraid. Building a business from ground up, especially with no capital, will take you on average a lot longer compared to someone starting up with some decent capital. Anyways, This definitely isn't for everyone.

If you had a zero budget and were just starting out online, what would you do right now......

Start with fiverr and complete a few gigs. Then with the money from the gigs get hosting and an autoresponder.
Then offer jobs to others who know nothing about fiverr outsourcing the work to fiverr workers and become the broker.

To get a quick and a somewhat more predictable amount of money coming in, I also agree with people who are suggesting offering your service as a freelancer to do other peoples internet marketing tasks such as article writing or seo, manual admin type tasks. Depends on your strengths and skills.

If you are good at writing, then writing a set of quality articles in a niche and selling the PLR rights to them could be a good place to start.

And then you can invest part of those earnings into hosting and a domain name and building up your own website, as an affiliate or offering your own products.

First I had a free blogspot blog about photography, and simultaneously offering freelance content writing and logo design gigs earned me my first 250$ in 2 months. I immediately shifted to a self hosted wordpress blog and started focusing on a different niche. The 4 month old blog now has a daily traffic of 900~1000 visitors and around 1900 PV and makes around 1000$ a month from the various services and offers that I make on it.

Recently got a PR3, sold a few links for quick bucks and also launched my wordpress plugin for Google +1 button and it got accepted in the official wordpress.org repository and I am getting around 10$ daily from it from the donate button which I have installed inside the plugin. And my blogspot is still making money on passive autopilot. So I started out 6 months back with 0$ and making around 35~45$ daily on autopilot which is consistent and a few gigs which depends how many I get in a month.

I took a bigger hosting plan, took a dozen domains and hired a few freelance writers to create content for the sites now and I am working on the new sites already... It has worked very well for me so far. The thing about IM is that you need to do your thing, whatever you are good at instead of falling for 'get rich schemes' or drooling over the 6 figure bloggers because going ga ga over their stats is not going to earn you any buck..
    Couldn't agree more..
