Stop Words?

I'm a newcomer to internet marketing.

I've been going through Extreme Niche Empires. I've got my site up, 2 of the 10 pages up, and now that I've started working on these main keyword pages, I've run into a problem that may have just nerfed the whole idea..

My keywords have "stop words" in them- a concept not addressed in the training and something i wasn't aware of.

if i remove the stop words / reorder the keywords the market becomes much higher competition, but if i am thinking this through right- having the stop words in the keywords still puts me back in the category with those other keyword combos that have too much competition.

What might I do about this? I can't figure a work around but i'm so green, the answer may be right there.

Thank you for any help or advice! I sure hope my first project isn't a failure because of that lack of vital information! (i can't afford another domain name for a bit lol, im still going to have to run with this project!)

    Are you talking about "stop words" in Google Adwords? If so, there is no real workaround.

    First thing you have to realize is that they're there for a reason. Adwords simply isn't as open as it used to be and that's because of marketers who tried to game the system by using terms in an effort to blindside consumers.

    I can't comment on "Extreme Niche Empires" but from personal experience, I can tell you that following somebody else's marketing plan is only going to dig you deeper in the hole.

    To be successful, you need to find your own calling. Just think, if 150 people who bought that e-book or training course are doing exactly the same thing, you're fighting a losing battle against competition from the exact same plan.

      indeed, but until i found ENE i hadn't the foggiest where to start. i see this is the key that unlocks a huge can of worms lol.

      i've learned a truckload at least, it's been worth every penny.

      i just wish he'd mentioned stopwords in the keyword research module, i would have picked a totally different starter site.

      however, i can always do another one when this one is done (and yes i will complete it, if for nothing else than to learn the basic process so i can build and tweak with other strategies.)

      just thinking that most of my keywords are now garbage because i will be ranked with the same terms as other, unmountable sites is a real downer.
