Commision Junction Text Link

4 replies
I have a question about CJ text link;

When I go to create a text link, something like this comes up;

<a href="http://www.blahid.com" target="_blank" onmouseover="window.status='http://ventorsite.com';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=' ';return true;> Text link</a><img src="http://www.blahbalhid.com" width="1" height="1" border="0"/>

Question:

1. Why there is img src in text only link?
2. If I want to use only URL for visual mode or bit.ly or twitter, I am thinking of using,

http://www.blahid.com" target="_blank" onmouseover="window.status='http://ventorsite.com';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=' ';return true;

Is that correct?

3. If it is not correct, how would I use the link, without missing on the proper tracking?

Thank you so much.

Pam

    You don't have to use the entire onmouseover and other link attributes. You just need the destination link (something like www . blablabla.com/click-number-number).

    The image is a tracking pixel for impressions. You don't have to use it, unless you want to measure CTR (in that case, make sure there is only one of those in each page, or you'll get an impression for each link).

      Nadavs,

      So I do not need to use one with vendor.com in my twitter? Thanks a lot, it helped.
